Tom McClarren – back in 1970 – riding the hills and having lots of fun! Today these 40 acres are now a small sub-division – have very small yards and no longer a large back yard to ride a bike. Isn’t that always the way – just as soon as someone is having fun – the “powers” that be – have a better idea for all of us. Everybody should have a big house and a “dime-size” piece of ground!

1951 Christmas – St. Louis

The story; I will be graduating from 8th grade at German St. Vincent Orphan Home on June 8th, 1952 – and the St.Louis Court system and Catholic Charities –would never let us visit our sister Eve Karen ( in foster-care system) and would not put her in the Orphan Home with us – so that we could at least know each other growing up – this visit takes place and only for one (1) hour in the Civil Courts Bldg. in the downtown St. Louis, Missouri – “COLD OFFICE.”

This picture was taken while we were waiting in line for one of the rides – on graduation day there was an all day picnic going on with rides of all kinds – games of chance, for those who are ‘lucky’ – fast foods or a full chicken dinner! Music all day for dancing – A day to take pictures and remember! Forever!
