“Is This Men’s Night Out?”

img072

“Is there a better time in “LIFE”  – than a time   – just to share undivided time with your DAD?” When you are “LUCKY” to be born “FIRST”  – that  means that you have received  – extra special favour from Almighty God – and that He – your Heavenly Father has a special plan just for you!

Everyday  – I try to learn something new – because my Grandma, said  – “Pay attention to all that is going on around you  – you’ll never know unless you were paying real good attention   – was there a special lesson  in that day for me to recall,  much latter on in “LIFE”  – to understand why the actions taken years ago – caused these  actions occurring today?”

Anyway, I’m having “FUN” today – because “GRANDMA” –  also said – “Little Grand-children of her’s  – should have lots of fun and enjoy “LIFE” while she is around!”

“You’d be scratching your head, too???”

img071

“Something very important is coming up soon?”  –  and “I’m trying my hardest to remember what it is?”  “I was hoping that someone – would give me a clue?”  “You know when you are a “LITTLE KID”  like me, it is very difficult to remember everything?” “Can you give me a “DATE”  or even how many “DAYS” more  that I need to wait?”

“Will there be surprises for me?”   “How about games and fun  – and will all my “FRIENDS” be  invited?”

“If I guess right is there an extra surprise for Me?”   “Will you be making a cake and have ice-cream, too?”

“I guess   –  that it will be    –   MY BIRTHDAY!”    “RIGHT!”

Friends born in June – remembered!

Some “Friends” are never forgotten – no matter how long they have since gone on to a much better reward – now in Heaven!

When I think about Sister Mary Emeline – a Nun in the Sisters of Christian Charity, order and my good friend Kelly Uzzetta – and they both have birthday in June and within five days of each other – and they were both always so kind hearted to everyone that I knew – and I cannot remember either one ever having anything to complain about – that I could say was something memorable?

Sister Mary Emeline was one of my favorite NUNS – when I was living at the German St. Vincent’s Orphan Home. I worked for her in the “Boy’s Dining Room” and thoroughly enjoyed working for her and would also volunteer to do additional work – just because she was so pleasant to work with and for. When you worked in any area in the Home – it was for a period of six months – and the one time that I was working for Sister Mary Emeline – was during the winter months which included the Holidays.

So, I told Sister Mary Emeline, since she was new to the Orphan Home – that there were Christmas Decorations in the “ATTIC” – if she would allow me to go to the third floor attic and get them – I would like to do the decorating – so that the “Dining Room” would be more festive for the “HOLIDAYs” – and everyone would like eating and feel like Christmas is a good time even for poor orphans! Sister Mary Emeline gave her permission and I did not let her down – we always remembered those days as “HAPPY TIMES” for us – long years after I left the Home! – I always kept in touch – till the month she left this earth!

Kelly Uzzetta became a very good friend – from the day I met with her and two of her younger children – as her family wanted to move from the city to the county – and being the terrific sales person – highly interested in people sincerely interested in making a move and also needing my help – I was the right person for her and her family – and we became the best of friends. Her family and mine were there for a lot of the occasions that bring good friends together – and even today often think about her and just cannot believe how an “Angel” of a person like Kelly could have been taken way to her “Heavenly Reward “before her time?

I’ll always remember my two wonderful friends – so much alike and both born in June!

”Travel on the Beach – in Style”

img069

This picture just grabbed my eye as I was looking through some Florida photos –  looks like the safe way to travel near the “OCEAN”  – stop to play in the sand and even let the kids run into the  “OCEAN”  – just for “FUN” – the path you travel is alwys safe and secure –  and from this  angle  – the view is superb!

The pictures from this trip  – tell us,  that this trip was a very “HAPPY and FUN” time for all of us!   – Almost reminds me of the old  “TV” commercial  –  “See the  U – S – A  –  in your  own Chevrolet!”    I’m thinking of some new words for the  “PICTURE commercial”  – above?  What would   “you”  like to say?  “Maybe “Ford” would pay for your commercial?”

“SHARK!” “SHARK!”

img068

When you hear people calling out – “SHARK!”   “SHARK!”   –  and you are on the beach area  of the Atlantic Ocean – you sure get up and start looking for where this “SHARK” might be?  The first thing that comes to mind  is –   ” I sure don’t want to be ‘dinner’  for a “SHARK!”

On this picture – Tom and Donald Aldrich  have the look of no longer being excited  – as now the “HAMMERHEAD SHARK”  is hanging from the Pier  –  either those above on the “PIER” are still working with the security  job  – that the ropes will hold  – or those people are just spectators   – inspecting and getting a closer look from above as to how the shark will be taken care of   – the final disposal?

We also have pictures  of the fight the shark  really put up     –  and a good fight  it was – but with all the spectators standing around and taking pictures – they had to put the shark out of it’s misery.
