Copy Cat – Fair Feather Friends

Would you believe that the Birds that come to your house to eat free – show you their – Finicky Side? We have all kinds of “BIRDS” that enjoy stopping by for the bird-seed that is set out for them – and we keep their feeders full all the time! The BIRDS come in spurts  – sometimes when too many show up – some will just wait around on one of the rails – and some will just barge in on others eating – and then there are some BIRDS that sit in the feeder – as if it is all theirs and they have staked their claim! It is really fun to watch those – who stake their claim to the whole feeder full of seed – just for them – and there they sit-in – I sometimes think they have eaten so much  that they are just too heavy for “TAKE-OFF” and are waiting for “HELP?”

We also feed the two cats that come around – one will come by and clean up everything that the “first” cat leaves or sometimes just turns up her nose – looks at me – with a look that says  to me “you know what I like Salmon in the can, and the dry food from the bag – forget it!” The second cat that comes around will eat everything – licks her dish clean – scampers off – says to herself – “I’m so glad someone thinks enough of poor ‘ole me’ to feed me!”

I did pick up some cans of “Salmon” and the first cat just ate the whole can full and left nothing for the second cat – but when I bought more of the dry food – the first cat turns up her nose. I’m guessing someone else in the neighborhood is also feeding the cats – because if she does not like what she sees here – I receive a “DIRTY” look!

So, with all the BIRDS around  “watching out” for the cats – they have picked up the turning away and going next door – when they do not get what they want? Just got some new Bird Seed –Sunflower Seed – and when I put that out in the feeders – the Birds came in as if going to “Grand Central Station!”

Every BIRD enjoyed the Sunflower Seed so much – that when  and on the next day I had put out some of the previous used bird seed – which they were used to eating – it was like a “BOY-COTT – they stayed away? It was just the same as with  the  first cat – tuning up her nose when she did not receive the SALMON that she likes – her best of all food! They (the BIRDS) are “COPY-CATS!”

When I noticed what was happening – I had to hurry out with the new Sunflower Seed! It was like I re-opened Grand Central Station! It feels good to know that the BIRDS and CATS can let me know exactly what they like and that I can provide it for them!
