“Do You Fear Falling?”

img044

This is Thomas F. McClarren –  82nd Airborne Division – U.S. Army – the last of the McClarren Family  that I have pictures of that  did  join and serve  and  were “LUCKY” to return home! To be a “Paratrooper” – I’ll just bet that the question you are most asked would be, –  “How can you jump out of a perfectly  fine flying airplane – are you not afraid of falling and getting hurt?” — Tom is the one in our  “FAMILY” –  that would be asking someone downstairs something  –  and before you could turn to answer  – there he was – –  at the foot of the stairs? Never could figure what there was about  “TOM”  –  that caused him to fall out windows and down stairs –   and never got hurt doing so?   I’m guessing the “GOOD LORD” was saving  “TOM” for the big jump of his  “LIFE”  out of “AIR-PLANES!”

This Memorial weekend and all this coming week –  let me send this Salute   – to all our ARMED FORCES – a prayer  to Almighty Yahweh – to bless and protect our young men and women  – until they can return home to their “LOVED” ones –  “Send Love  to all our Loved ones who are making great sacrifices!”

Young Man in U.S. Army!

img043

This is Denny  H. McClarren Jr.,with the best shade of  “red hair” and lots of  “freckles!”  This is the same  good-looking guy, my brother,  you may have seen  right here – with that “Million Dollar Smile” – this is his more sincere and down to business look!

Let’s remember all of our “FAMILY MEMBERS” who have served  our Country – America – and never forget the great sacrifices –  that  they have made  – just for all of us who could not serve  – – if only each of us does his part  – maybe  “America”  will always remain “Tops” in the hearts of us – all!

My brother, Denny was at the Red Stone Arsenal  in the 1950’s.  “Almighty God thank you for your blessing on all of us,   in  “America”  and keep all of our “Service Men and Women”  safe  – where ever they   – with “PRIDE”  and “HONOR” may serve!”

Oldest “PHOTO of Dad” – “VETERAN”

Dad Service Photo 001

In our “FAMILY”  the  “McCLARREN FAMILY” –  this seems to be the oldest “PHOTO”  – this was taken when my Father served in the U.S. Army –  1st Infantry Div., Fleet Philippines.  I found this photo in his wallet when he left this world – for the next. It is amazing that a photo stuffed in a well used wallet would last at all? I’m sure glad to have this remembrance of him  and that we have “Memorial Day”  which we will be celebrating this year on Monday – May 26th, 2014!

Thanks be to Almighty God for caring for all of our men and women in the services – especially since they  could be giving to us the ultimate gift their   “LIFE” – to keep our “America” free for  “ALL!”

“Birthday’s need celebrating all week!”

img040

“Celebrations” shoud be celebrated for at least a whole week – after all is said and done – just one day to celebrate is trying to cram too much “FUN ” into such a short time-frame – that the occasion is  not really enjoyed and very little remembered by the “small-fry”  – and never  registered in the brain computer  – in order that Family Celebrations  are to be passed down from generation to generation – so that all customs and traditions become well established institutions!

This is Jaime enjoying a trip to Ft.Lauderdale, Florida – where her father was born – and while visiting all the old places “Daddy” remembered as a youngster – the family enjoyed some ocean boating. Jaime’s big smile tells us  –  that everyone is having “FUN!”

“OLD FOLKS”

Remember that  “OLD FOLKS”  are worth a fortune,  with silver in their hair – gold in their teeth – stones in their kidneys – and gas in their stomachs!

I have become a little older since – I last saw you – and a few changes have come into my  “LIFE”  –  since then.  Frankly,  I have become a “Frivolous”  –  old gal!

I am seeing five (5)  “gentlemen”  – every day!   As soon  as  –  I WAKE UP  –   “Mr. Will Power”  helps me get out of bed!  And then –  “Mr. Charlie Horse”  comes along and when he is here – he takes a whole lot of my time and attention!   Oh,  and when he leaves –  “Mr. Arthur Ritis”  will show up –  and has the nerve to stay the rest of the day! He also  does not like to stay in only one place very long – so he will take me –  from “joint to joint!”

Now, – and after such a very busy day – I am really tired and “OH” –  “so glad”  – to go to bed with “Mr. Ben Gay!”  – And  – oh me my oooh  what -a “Life”  – that I live?

P.S.     The “Preacher”  came to call on me the other day.  He said  – that at my “AGE”  – that I should be thinking about the  “HERE – AFTER?”  I told him – “OH  I  do –  and all the time.  No matter where I am – in the parlor – upstairs – in the kitchen or even down in the “basement” – I ask myself –  NOW  – what  am I  –  here after?”

“Shopping Done Right by Jaime!”

img039

This is another  “Photo” that  ranks very high on my list.  Jaime Aldrich just looks so cute  – and sure is the perfect shopper – dressed in her favorite color – she looks like a “million” and has her hair style in the style that I would like to do to my own  – and most importantly she is wearing good,  comfortable, walking shoes – and no shopper would be without a very large bag to carry all those ‘prize purchases’ safely home!

My hope –  is to encourage all parents to take as many pictures as is possible of their children  – while they are young. The reason is like right now –  I am so “LUCKY”  to  have received copies of photos when the young grand-children were growing up and I did enjoy the photos – then  –  – – and now I am  enjoying these pictures now  – more than ever to reminisce – and all the very  good times we were so lucky to share raising our  children  – and then the “GRAND-CHILDREN” – and now to know  – that the real  secret of  “LIFE”  is children to remember,  always and forever!
