“Beautiful Birthday Girl…”

img204

“Isn’t it just wonderful  to find another photo  of   “Miss Jaime” our   Beautiful    Birthday girl – and like –  GRANDMA  – always says – “Celebrate the whole week –  – so, in  that way   – you can gradually get the feel of your new age!”

When you are “young” – you are in a big hurry to get to be a year or so older – It seems to elevate you from being a “baby” and someone of  “more importance”  – or at least you are hoping for  “adult” status – and without being consider an old  “oldie!”

When I look at the above photo – it makes me wish – for the “luck” to some day – to  be able to just smile and have a beautiful smile that would be very friendly to the camera –  in fact – you could say with Jaime’s beautiful smile  – – she just could be a model for the dentistry  businesses that need models to show everyone  – that when you get our special care and treatments – “you too”  –  can have a  very friendly and loving smile  – one that will open doors to all the wonderful people in this world – all ready to just meet you!

When someone smiles in your direction –  do you  feel like I do – that the person smiling is very friendly and helpful and wants to extend a  helping hand to me  – and everything from there on – just seems to make this whole world  –  feel like the best of places to  live and  to work!

“Happy Birthday  – Jaime!” *****

“Happy Birthday Jaime!”

img203

Happy Birthday to you… Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday!!! “Happy Birthday dearest Jaime…. ”  – Many more  “BIRTHDAYS” “await you ” – –   – just name the date and we all – –  will be there….”

Isn’t‘  it just wonderful –  that there is someone around to take “photos  of all  of our special occasions – just so that in  “twenty”  years – or even later we can  all – – sit back and see if we can remember – all the special details about the photo???

We know the occasion – Jaime’s Birthday – – and the cake tells us Jaime is “FOUR” years old.  Little Miss Jaime is standing ready to be photographed and …  doing so  – just as if she  is “CEO”  and is  also  ready to direct  a large Corporation Meeting – all eyes are  focused on our extra special  “Miss Jaime”  – and all of us that gathered  for this special   occasion  are all  ready to hear something very  important???  “Do you know what the question is  – that we all just asked,” –   “Miss Jaime??”  “Can you tell – that  “Miss Jaime”  is thinking  – “Should I tell them … or should I just not –  tell them… that if I tell everybody what I just WISHED for – then I will not  receive my WISH??”

The “suspense” was just killing everybody – but little “Miss Jaime” stuck to her guns – she did not tell  anybody what her very special “WISH”  – was… – so  – now…  – I wonder who will ask, “Miss Jaime”  – if she remembers getting her WISH???

Photo identification – ME aka Alyssa standing on the right side of photo and in charge of taking care of the photos and identifying “who’s who”  – and right on the front of the photo and in her own hand writing much better than I did at the same age. The “BIRTHDAY” girl “Miss Jaime”  – and her name is right above where she is standing. Now,  you know who I am – as my name “Grandma”  is above me  – and it looks like Alyssa – started writing the names on the photo  starting with her own name first and working to the left – kind of ran out of space for my name  – but the way Alyssa has my NAME – I like it just the way it is and I wouldn’t change it – not even for a Million Dollars!

“Happy Birthday”  – ” little MISS JAIME  and many… many …  more……”

“Lucky Jaime!”- “Celebrating all week!”

img181

This Photo of “Jaime” – looks just like an “artist” put all of “Jaime’s” favorite colors together  – on a canvass – like none other – mixing all the right paints  – a dash of pink for the dress – some golden  shades of paints to make  a perfect  “throne”  – just the right size for a very special “Princess” – and all of the best shades of blue –  with little dashes of white puffs to look like  puffing smiling clouds floating bye in the sky – so high…

“Faith – Family – Freedom…”

Just in case you did not hear nor see the “NEWS” regarding the address – given by the new Principal of the High School in Colorado – to the students for the coming year.  In my opinion –  Dennis Prayer – should be a candidate in the  running for the position of PRESIDENT of this Country – AMERICA – as his speech is the “speech” to and for all AMERICANS – made by someone who is a “TRUE AMERICAN” – someone understanding our “TIMES” right now – and what we all need to do – to get all of us in this “Land of the Free” to return to the “Family” living in this County – working together to make America the strong Country our “Fore-Fathers” intended for our survival – making this once wild land –  an United States –

There were several very important points made  – that these High School students will be starting this new year with – but  – and since I was in an Orphanage was I was in the Grade School years – — we cannot wait  – until the High School years to try to bring children to the correct way of living  – if you are living in America – and want to be a true American – ready to fight for God and Country – to make this “LAND” a better place for the generations to follow – we need to start NOW – and with children as soon as they can understand  “ENGLISH”  – spoken in the HOME – SCHOOL – WORK PLACE –  – so that we can all understand each other  – making us  a strong FAMILY unit – that  will forever prosper – with the blessing of the Almighty!

Each of us is on the same journey – to determine what destiny we will follow – so what is the harm in a little “cooperation” – with giving a helping hand to our neighbor – would not each of us want – someone nearby to help us – when we just so happen to fall down on our path – trying to make LIFE better for our heirs???

One other item in the speech that the Principal brought out – for this new school year – is the matter of the way the children dress. It is sometimes “comical” the way some students dress – – I’m guessing that – they think that they are looking good – but if only they knew – that their fellow students are having a real good laugh – inside – – and the “Laughter” looks just as silly or maybe even worse.

When I was in “Grade School” we wore uniforms – and everyone looked the same and when I started in High School – It was uniforms again, But, mid -season in school – my Mother decided that I was to go to the Public School – and they did not have uniforms – – and that was in the 1950’s and the skirts were long – so everything that was necessary – “was covered!” Today there is no code and sometimes you would guess that the students were going to the “BEACH” instead of to “school”– and maybe they really are???

What they wear to School – they also wear to “CHURCH” – even I was surprised – by what I would call dis-respectable attire  for any type of “PUBLIC FUNCTION” – but I can see that what is worn  – is that which is now everywhere on  the television – and you can almost tell immediately those who watch too much television – just by what you see and hear – – but today – even those that should know better – do not seem to care – as to what would be appropriate – and that is in anything and everything!

When I was to start “High School” – my Mother told me that I was going there to learn how to “THINK!”  – – “To Think” – “this was just what I wanted to do – to be able to “Think”  and find out what was I going to do with the Knowledge that I had – and what about some  Wisdom  – to figure out what kind of work can I do  – to be able to take care of myself and my Mother?” So, now I’m wondering what other “PARENTS” are telling their children – what are their children to be doing in “School” – or do “PARENTS” even care — as to what their children are learning  – will they be a help to the FAMILY and THEIR-SELVES  – with this new found KNOWLEDGE and WISDOM – to be able to work and PROSPER???

“I almost wish… that I could go to the High School in Colorado – I would like to see if I could learn more than I did – the first go-around – back in the 1950’s???”

My favorite Bird….

Today – we had several storms come in – and for awhile – I thought each one would end – but not the case. So, as I was sitting at the dining table and having a light snack – my very “favorite little bird” came to visit me.

As I am sitting there – and watching this “bird” – tip toe over that porch rail – looking for something good to eat – as in every few tippy-toe…  steps – a little scratch for some little tidy bit.

So, since the storm is blowing rain and upsetting my Miss “Scrounger” – She is not going to be run off by this “rain storm” as “Miss Scrounger” knows there is something good for her here – she just has to find it. That’s what I like about this little bird – she  is about the smallest of birds to come and look for something good to eat – and she digs around in every little crack and cranny – just pecking around until she finds just what she likes!

Well, today  my little scrounger must have more time on her hands – as the wind was blowing and the rain kept a coming – and –  she must have figured  – – no sense in me getting drenched in this heavy stuff – “I’ll just investigate spots on this porch – like I never did before!”

“Little Miss Scrounger” takes a little tip toe and bounce and down on the outside of the porch rail and then into a little “peep hole” and onto the rail under the top rail – with some real investigation skills – tip toe and a few more quick  “dance” steps  – I know just what she was thinking – “this looks like some of the “bird houses” that I took a little “peek” into  – but this one –  just looks like a “giant” size  – birdhouse, to me!”

Now that “Miss Scrounger” had so much fun – finding new and private quarters – that only she was able to maneuver in and around –  I’m betting that she will be back – looking in these new hiding places for some “good eats” – like the man said on TV – everyone  – even the “BIRDS” look for and enjoy “Good Eats!”

Well, I did have a few other things to do –  and so I could not watch my favorite “little bird” – but now  – that she  has had so much fun in that new discovery of  her’s – I’ll be putting some of her special “bird seed” in those same places – and I’ll soon find out if she really enjoyed – doing her little “tip toe and bounce dance” – like only she can do  –  “I sure enjoy watching my favorite Miss Scrounger – doing her special “tip toe  and bounce dance” – just for me!”

“Children -“DO” – watch us…”

This little story  that I  just heard today reminded me – that our little ones just may look like they are busy playing and  are doing  their own things – but they are monitoring our every movement – and it is registering for some time in the future – and what we get – will really open our eyes!

This story starts with the Mother  –  when she was not feeling very well – and whatever was making her ill – nothing that she was doing  – that is for herself –  was relieving  the agony of the situation – but it seem that now  – would be the time for bed rest  – for the Mother.

Looks like the little daughter was trying to help her Mother feel better – so she would bring books to the bedside of her Mother and stay with her  – trying to cheer  Mother  – by just being nearby  – and always waiting to see if her Mother  would need for her to get something  – always in hopes –  that what she was doing would make her Mother  “all”  better??

Well,  this situation lasted for a couple of days – and Mother did not seem to be getting better – so, the little daughter had a “light-bulb” moment! After sitting by the Mother’s bedside – she just got up quickly – leaving the bedroom and was gone for  at least a half hour – and whatever the daughter was doing – the Mother had no way of knowing?

Now, the daughter is coming into the bedroom – and she is carrying a tray with a few items and sets the tray down on the nearby bed stand. The daughter looks so cute and is working just like a little nurse – seems to know exactly what she is doing. The little daughter is bringing the cup in a saucer – freshly made tea – for her Mother. The Mother asked – “How do you know how to make tea?” The little daughter – replies – “I watch you when you are making tea!”

The Mother is drinking the tea – must taste like and look like tea – but she is wondering – just exactly – what equipment was used and how was it all put together? So, the Mother says – “tell me just the way you were able to make the tea?” The little girl comes closer to the bed and starts saying – “Just like you, I put the “TEA LEAVES” in the pan and the water – on the stove and brought that to a boil.  “Then, I found the “TEA POT” – after the water was boiling – I knew that I had to strain the tea leaves out – and so I had to find the strainer?” And she continues with, “couldn’t  find the strainer that you  – usually use  – so I had to find another strainer to use!”

Mother is drinking the tea and seems to be feeling better – but  – she continues with asking – “I do not see any tea leaves in my tea, what did  you use????” The daughter feels that she did a terrific job and so she said, “I used the “FLY SWATTER” and it worked just fine!”!!!

Hearing the word “FLY SWATTER” – the Mother almost crooks – and sets the cup of tea down. Just as fast as the little girl sees that her Mother did not like the “Fly Swatter” having been used – the little girl immediately yells –  “I did not use the NEW “FLY SWATTER”  – – – – – – – -“I used the OLD “FLY SWATTER!”   …..
