Sensational – Stunning “SUNSET” at Sunset Park!
Last night… if you missed the extraordinary way that the “SUN” was setting for all of us at the “SUNSET PARK” – – You really missed something that all I can say … “The “SUN” sat there… and sat there… and then all of a sudden – the most exceptional thing…was to see the “SUN” go up some and then finally down – and then just sit there to do something different and only for those that were there had the joy of seeing something so magnificent – – in plain words the most beautiful “SUNSET” ever!”
Usually… there are several automobiles and or trucks that just sit along the road coming into the SUNSET PARK – – they are not blocking the view for others – since the hill down has such a nice decline – it is as if you sitting in the theatre – and no one’s view is blocked by the “LADY” with the large brimmed hat!
Actually – it was around a quarter passed eight in the evening and just dark enough – so that vehicles and people walking would not really be noticed. The magnificent “SHOW” was “WEST” and that is all anybody with eyes – would be interested in – when the “SHOW” to see was worth a million!
You know, we watch the “SUN” setting every night – someone will say, “There she goes…five – four – three – two – one – all gone!” That’s the way it is – here. We are just a bunch of big “KIDS” – and to have right in our very own backyard – something … sort of like a “MIRACLE” – there is no way – any of us could develop or even try to make such a marvelous sensation take place – every evening – all year through and for hundreds of years… does not cost a dime to go and see – take that back – there will be a day when someone in politics will figure a way to tax the public for viewing privileges… they always find a way to tax everything else!
During the rest of the years – that is the years that I may have yet… I do not see myself going around the world to see any of the “SEVEN WONDERS OF THE WORLD” – but right here in “RIVER CITY” like they say in the old time movies… “All the “WONDERS of the WORLD” are right here in my very own backyard! No one would ever think to tell the “REAL ESTATE” agent that …” “The property that I want to buy – must have the MISSOURI RIVER close enough to see and visit on foot and there must also be visible a most beautiful and magnificent – make that a extraordinary “SUNSET” – that will take place for my FRIENDS and of course for me to view with O OOHS and AAAAHS – so that at the end of the day – we can give THANKS to the ONE and only Almighty Yahweh – who is the only ONE – that can create such WONDERS for HIS people to view and all for FREE!!!

“Sister Mary Emeline – always a BEST FRIEND!”
“Sister Mary Emeline” – one of the “BEST of NUNS” at the German St. Vincent Orphanage – just so happened to become one of my very special people… in my LIFE – and until the day she went on her journey to HEAVEN – a FRIEND – someone that I always remembered on all occasions and still remember her BIRTHDAY was on the 21st of JUNE – but that was also FATHERS Day this year and so now – – “Happy Birthday… Sister Emeline!”
The above letter – regarding Sister Emeline – her LIFE and FAMILY – and as you read – she was also an ORPHAN – – and… in the very same – – GERMAN ST. VINCENT ORPHANAGE – so I feel that – with the knowledge she had of the situation of ORPHANS – she had a much better attitude with the children that were in the same ORPHANAGE – – – and in my case – she became a personal FRIEND to me – all the years that she and I were in the Normandy, Missouri location.
You just might want to say… “She was a real FRIEND to the END!” Many years later – after my leaving the Orphanage – – and when…We moved back to the Saint Louis area – I had called her – to make arrangements – so that I could bring her to my home for the day and stay for dinner – – and my sons Lee and Al would play the piano and organ – and we would always have a very nice time together – something so different than just a visit at the Orphanage! I always thought that it was good for her to have somewhere to go – that was more entertaining for her and even FUN – including the long drive – and at different times of the year – with the seasons changing – – lots to see and talk about – forever!
“I feel… that – making “GOOD FRIENDS” and for a LIFE-TIME – is really what … we were planted on this “EARTH” to do!”

“NUNS” – WHO were ORPHANS – FIRST…
To be able to read this – try to click – see if you can find the “NUN” that you remember . … as an ORPHAN – STUDENT … or maybe you remember only as one of the Sisters of Christian Charity NUNS???
From the left is one of my favorite “NUNS” – Sister M. Alvira – – and in the middle is Sister M. Celestine – – and to the far right side of the picture is Sister M. Luitraud.
This is one of those times when the NUNS were caught on “CAMERA” ???? – Just like the kids would get caught – “WELL..” – you can see that – the NUNS do like ice-cream and… we like ice-cream… so let’s all scream for “ICE-CREAM!”
“Think that – – – I will go and make for myself an ice-cream cone – right NOW!!!”
“Would you like an “ICE-CREAM” cone, too????”

“DADDY”… We think that you are BETTER than just GOOD… “DADDY”… when we think about YOU … “DADDY”… We know that “YOU” are the BEST!
“DADDY”… We have been talking this over… and YOU are the “BEST” of the “BEST” – – There’s no doubt in our minds about it … “DADDY”… We feel in our HEARTS – MINDS – and SOULS… “DADDY” you were always GOOD – – but so much BETTER than the BEST of FATHERS – – – “DADDY” – – there never will be a BETTER FATHER than you – “DADDY” you have spoiled us – and we know that YOU – – OUR DADDY is the BEST of ALL the FATHERS – You are our very own … the very BEST “DADDY” – “HAPPY FATHER’s DAY” … “DADDY!”

“Chrissy Aldrich” and “Thomas H. Aldrich”
“Grand-daughter Chrissy and Grandma Aldrich singing as loud as they can… ” and Christa’s DAD, Tom Aldrich on the top left with Christa’s uncle Al standing on the top right … looks like the guys are playing some real good music just as “HOT” as they can … and all on the “invisible ” instruments… – that – they carry along with them – always ready to entertain!
“Anyone for a game of Chess??? Tom Aldrich on the left and brother Lee – sitting on the right. – I’ll bet you can guess when this picture was taken??? “YES!” — “This is back in the olden times – when men would wear their hair long…” “What a woman wouldn’t give… to have had a beautiful head of hair like Lee’s… so nice and thick and wavy – so easy to do a whole lot of different kinds of fancy “HAIR”-do’s!”
Getting back to that game of “CHESS” … no matter what else is going on in this “Rathskeller” – – even having the “TV” on – they will be sitting there… just thinking ??? This game is still going on – somewhere…???
