“Happy Easter to one and all!”
This little girl photo is the best – – that I could find – – looks like she is wishing everyone the best of 2016 EASTER GREETINGS – – – from all of us ………. “Share the LOVE of the Season!
“I like this “PHOTO” – because it reminds me of myself – – at and about the age and size of this little girl – -HAPPY EASTER to all!”

Remember – EASTER – 04/14/1963
Easter Sunday and an “EASTER BUNNY” – is all foreign information… for a fifteenth month old baby – – and we can see – – that baby Al – – sitting in the “high-chair” just has no real idea of what all that stuff is doing on the dining room table – – – and so early in the morning?
The table is set up … for four boys – – Tom in high school gets the smallest basket – – and the baby Al – – the youngest boy gets the largest basket – – – but it is not the size of the basket that makes you feel good – – it is all of the sweet treats that are spread out on the table … that being bigger – you know – – there is more your hand can reach and grab – – – all without any help – – it is all there to just share and enjoy!
“The early bird gets the worm” – – he who gets up early – – can start to try out some of those colorful and fancy wrapped candies – – mostly chocolate – – who wants any thing else – -but who will get the big “Chocolate Bunny” – – some of the larger size… are now made hollow inside – such a big disappointment – – I always enjoyed the solid “Chocolate Bunny” as you would have more of the good stuff – – – and the longer it lasts – – the more you think that you are enjoying “EASTER!”
That’s big brother, Lee serving baby brother, Al with some of the “EASTER” treats … the ones he knows he can give to baby Al – – but … he is big enough – and knows what he likes – – as Lee has been around a little longer – – and NOW – – can tell the little baby – – the way – – that things happen on “EASTER” – – – so nice to be the bigger brother – – the one who NOW has all the answers – – just knows so much – – for being the big … four years old.

“Remember – EASTER SUNDAY CHURCH”
“EASTER SUNDAY” – No problem for all of us to get up and ready early for the special “EASTER SUNDAY CHURCH SERVICES” –
Thinking back … when we were living in Florida – – it must have been the terrific weather – – that we were always able to get up early – – that is all of us – – my husband, Lee needed to be at the Drive-In Restaurant – – before six in the morning to open and and get the coffee pots going – – one of those double barrel type coffee makers – one side on and ready and the other side ready to go as soon as the crowd determined more coffee needed.
Those coffee pots required a big cloth type basket for the grounds – – we must have used lots of coffee…and whatever the brand we used – – it was always the best tasting coffee – that I have ever had. One thing that we did do… is to offer the police officers at anytime of the day – free coffee and there were some items from the menu that were also offered free for them. At the “DRIVE-In” – – there was always extra parking room for the Police in their cars – – so that they could be ready to fly in any direction – in an emergency situation.
Lee’s brother Al would run the “Chat ‘n Nibble” and of course he also had to be there early – – as that restaurant was in a “SEARS SHOPPING MALL” – and all of those stores would have employees that would come in for meals and coffee all through the day – as our working hours there would start before and lasted longer for the clean up crew.
Even with our restaurants – – whenever there would be an occasion for us to take the whole FAMILY out – – and some other activity at the same time to do – we would stop by some of our friends’ restaurant – – just as a courtesy to them – – as they would also stop by our restaurants – – and that was the name of the game – – help promote your friends business… as they help to do the same for you.

“Remembering EASTER – in FLORIDA”
How would you like to see a great big “BUNNY RABBIT” as big or even bigger than anyone in your FAMILY? That is baby Al…who is slow to recognize the big and wild looking “BUNNY” from outer-space? Holding Al’s hand is Donald Lee Aldrich a big brother and standing in the grass – – and taking in …all of this wild stuff is a big brother to AL – – – Lee Aldrich – – and we are all getting ready to enjoy our EASTER BRUNCH – – at this “PANCAKE HOUSE” in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
“SURPRISE” – – when we got home after a big meal at the “PANCAKE HOUSE” – – – the boys all find big “EASTER BASKETS” filled by the real “BUNNY” – – and you all know who that would be…! The baskets have the big selection of all the best … including real dyed colored eggs with special messages – – – and on the dining room table is even more – – games and chicks and bunnies – – – all so nice and soft – the kind of toys that remind you of EASTER – – till they get lost or – – well who knows where stuff goes – – when that day comes – – that we have grown out of the need for “JUNK!”

“Remembering some early times…”
This is now in the backyard – –
Since this is the week before EASTER – – have to remember the things and times of what was going on – – as in the above photos – – there were areas where – – the three of us…DENNY is on the swing – – and by holding on and standing – – he was able to have FUN – – just swinging himself – – back and forth. He could have the swing – – and swing and or not swing – – and with no one else – to want to do something else – – we all played in peace.
That is “ME” sitting on DENNY’s favorite chair… but since we are having our picture taken…I am in the area …where it looks as if I am in charge of everything – – by yelling at whoever is taking the pictures – – just to sure that I am not left out of the FUN! As the eldest – – I am guessing that I could let everyone know what I was thinking – – – as I still have a strong tendency… to let everyone know – – the way to do something and of course the right way – – which would be my way!
(Going MY WAY – – is the RIGHT WAY!)
Can not forget our baby, TOMMY… and if you are looking closely and into the background – you can see a “play pen” where little TOMMY would spend a lot of time – especially when the adults would be occupied doing something – – as TOMMY would have a way of wandering off – – and as young as he was – – did not want him getting into the street – – not that there was a “whole” lot of traffic – – back in those days – – and of course there was a wooded area – – that we could go into – when no one was looking – – and of course if we got caught – – that would mean we were in big trouble – – especially “ME” – – because I was always supposed to be keeping an “eagle eye” on my brothers – – just in case???
“JUST in CASE” – – back then – – there was always the possibility of something happening – – and of course – I was the one “who” would have been the “one” to catch the “trouble” for it – – since being older – – I should have known better!
Aren’t you glad – – that you were not ME – – as the “fall guy” for – – – any and all unexpected mysterical happening???

“As early as – I can remember?”
Since “EASTER” will be this coming SUNDAY…just had to check through my PHOTOS – – – just to get an idea of all of the many EASTER PHOTOS – – that would be available for me to post and tell everybody – – all about the many EASTER’s – that were a part of my LIFE!
When there are small children in the FAMILY – – my feelings are to let the young children enjoy the many occasions that we as FAMILIES celebrate together, and always with as many of our FAMILY members – – that are still living and are near enough to come and join in with their FAMILY CELEBRATION!
In the above PHOTO, is my youngest brother, Tommy and myself hanging on – so as to not rock the swing that we received for this Easter. This “SWING” was moved to the back yard – – as my DADDY also dug up an area of the yard…so that he could build a small in the ground swim-pool – all concrete and where… we had another type of “SWING” – – so that we had plenty to play on. If you look at the lawn – you can see this is a new house – just built in a new subdivision – and lots of landscaping was needed – as you can see from the photos.
In those days…my MOTHER had told me… later – my FATHER would fix the basement up – – with several of those large galvanized containers – so that they had lots of beer and soda for all the people to drink – – with lots food that my DAD would make – – almost as if we were feeding an army – – tables – chairs and benches – and they had music – so that everyone could stay for a long time with lots of enjoyment – – for all!
