Oldest “PHOTO of Dad” – “VETERAN”

In our “FAMILY” the “McCLARREN FAMILY” –

We just have to remember our Father… as without him…we would not be here!

Sometimes in our LIFE Time… we should check where we place PHOTOS of which we only have one copy, and… as this one and only PHOTO, just has to be the best PHOTO… as it is a remembrance of a very specific time and place during our very younger years, and in this case … when we enlisted into the United Sates Army!

Just looking at this … the above old Photo, this just seems to be the oldest “PHOTO” – this was taken when my Father served in the U.S. Army – 1st Infantry Div., Fleet Philippines.

I was LUCKY to find this, the above old photo in Daddy’s wallet… a very well worn and old used wallet, which did not by just looking at it … did not seem to have anything worthwhile in it, and if some one, maybe not a family member… that was just going through old items of Daddy’s… that were left behind… just maybe no one would have had a chance to see this terrific old photo.

A day does come for us “all” to leave this world and when Daddy left this world – for the next, we all do know that we always leave everything… that is every single thing that we did own and some things just may be valuable to someone … but to WHO?

What ever we did own goes to “WHO” ever wants these left behind items, and can use some of the old things … we just left behind.

It is amazing that a very good PHOTO … that was taken so long ago, when we were in top shape … that very same photo stuffed in a very well used wallet… would even with all of the wear and tear that a wallet gets…would even last at all?

I’m sure glad to have this remembrance of Daddy, as it is a prize to have and see how he did look, when he was in tip top shape… as he was recruited into the ARMY!

I am sure glad, that we here in America have this day to remember our families and friends, that gave their all to keep America free for all of us and for all times and that … NOW we have set a special day for all Americans to gather together … having a three day a day weekend … so as to be sure to remember those that did serve and also those that gave their very LIFE !

With this weekend to gather together and celebrate that which they gave… so much more than required we …. NOW have “Memorial Day.”

We all are grateful and Thankful and will forever remember that which all of America in a joint effort for all time… we as families and friends will be celebrating this year on Monday – May 30th, 2022!

Thanks be to our Almighty Creator for caring for all of our men and women in the services – especially since they or some could be giving to us… the ultimate of all gifts… their “LIFE” – to keep our “America” … free for “ALL!”
