“Miss Anne Elizabeth Smart”

Why do we save old PHOTOS  – – of our ancestors that we never met – – and really do not know?

I must have been born under the “SIGN” of the collector  – – I do not know of such   of a ‘sign’  in any of the Astrological signs  – – that are  so very popular with people – – that… they  read the daily paper – – just to see what they are suppose to do… each day – –  – – BUT – – when relatives die and leave  “stuff”  behind – – and with no special directions – – as to what to do with  said  “stuff”  – – and no information   on “old PHOTOS”  – – well I do know they are relatives – – and I just can not throw out a relative.

In the mid 1800’s – – and you were BLESSED  with girls – – just looking at this ‘dress’  that little ANNE  has on – – sure did require someone to do a lot of  hand stitching – –  and the  expertise  in the garments that were made  – –  needed hours of time – – and every young girl must have  had a hand in the making of their clothes – – and the little “DOLL” that is held in “ANNE’s” hand – –  she must be showing us – – that she was able to make a very nice dress … from the scraps from her own dress – – for her little DOLL.

Besides old PHOTOS…  I even inherited  – – some unfinished embroidery items – – that my MOTHER   did not finish – – and the stitching is just beautiful – – so perfect the “French KNOTS”  – – I wanted to finish this one piece – – but did not even try – – after finishing  some squares for a  ‘quilt’ that was not finished – – because   my sewing was so bad – – just ashamed to even finish the ‘quilt’ – – and could not  rip out my stitches – –  so everything is just waiting – – and for what — I do not know?

All I can say… “Why start a project – – if you are not planning on completing  it – – You know how it should be – – and,  that – – there  is mo one else – – to ever  really  finish … another’s…  work of art.”
