“The Brat”

By… Lee Aldrich Jr.
Based on a true story … 06/17/2020

Hi…  I’m the Brat, a little small cat, and I like living dangerously.

My story is…  I live on a small farm, four-horses, a chicken, five dogs, six cats, and I’m the smallest cat. I  look like an orange tiger cat. I run fast, I jump like crazy, and I’m a big-time hunter.

Also, there’s mom and dad, two old white people that work for me.  They feed me, they rub my tummy, and they put medicine on me. Heck, they do just about anything I want, and I want a lot!         “Heck, I’m the Brat.”

Well, this is dad, and as you know I’m the lucky slave … that takes care of the Brat that is a cat and loves living dangerously. My cat, the Brat has florescent green eyes, and even as small as she is, her smile is as big and bodacious as can be!

“I’ve never been able to tell her, so I guess that is why she lives so dangerously.”

Now you’re probably thinking what could be so dangerous, for a small Brat that is a  CAT.  Well… when  I’m feeding the horses, the Brat will walk under the horses while they eat and stomp their feet to shake the flies off their legs. Just one wrong step and the little Brat becomes an orange pancake!

One day … I was taking a break, just sitting and watching the grass grow, when the Brat stumbled in front of me with a snake in her mouth, and the rest of the snake was wrapped around her! I had to immediately free her from the snake; the snake was five times  bigger than  her.

Then one day, she wasn’t done telling me what to do.

So…as I was entering into the big dog area…  that “nut” tried to jump from a tree that was outside the big dog area fence… to a tree inside the big dog area, but… the branch she landed on… was old, dead, and broken.  So, the Brat and the old broken tree branch fell to the ground.

NOW… the first thing I saw, and the Brat saw, and those two big dogs saw, was the “BRAT”… staring into the  eyes of  the two big dogs… that  just wanted to eat her!

Like a big dummy…  I grabbed her and held her   high in the air, and the two big dogs… then…  put their slobber and their muddy ole paws all over me.

I tossed the “BRAT”  outside the big dog fence area… and she was just fine.

But me, I was one big  dog slobbering muddy mess!

Then the Brat, the two big dogs, and me,  just had a  very good laugh.

So… as time rolls on … we will always remember these siilly and very  good old times…that we had together and  being so happy!

The End

“Join the NAVY… NOW”

“Isn’t   it wonderful… that our sons and daughters look so good – – when they sign up…   to join  the “BRANCH of  SERVICE” that they are so well qualified  – – to play a major part of  preserving the “AMERICAN FREEDOM” that each of   “us” citizens  Love and Cherish!” (“us”  stands  for “UNITED STATES”) “Are we still “UNITED”… for the greater good of  ‘us’ all?”

“No matter where you go in the room – – when you take a look at this PHOTO – – Lee Jr., is looking right back at you.”   – – “I just LOVE LEE for doing his duty for Almighty Yahweh and also …  for our COUNTRY, AMERICA!”

“ALDRICH running with the ball”

“That’s   what I like to hear… “ALDRICH…running with the ball” – –  and could he ever run!”

Just going through some old scarp books – – and since “SCHOOL’S”  are  staring  a new season – – just thought that it is good to see some of the “BLUE RIBBONS”   that my son, “Lee Aldrich”  received for  just having those skills – that were needed – – doing all of the activities – – that he enjoyed with his FRIENDS and CLASS-MATES.

In the First or Second grade of school – – Lee broke his wrist  – – and  so I signed  “LEE”  up – – to take ‘piano lessons’  – – just so he could get the exercise he would need to strengthen his arm and wrist. Since then… I have always thought that…  it is very beneficial for a young child to take “MUSIC LESSONS.” – – It is like learning a new language and opening new  rooms in the BRAIN – – so that in doing your regular class room studies – – you  will find more room to study and learn all kinds of new and interesting activities.

So… it also follows – – that the BRAIN – – would also like to participate in other activities — such as foot-ball  – – and to be out doors for doing running – – and he was very fast — and having a “HORSE”  of his own to ride and exercise with good grooming –  – – his whole body  received  all the exercise one needs… to  excel in most of the activities – –  that  each SCHOOL  offers…  as a part of your  “SCHOOL” course.

Will be looking in more boxes…  that have some of Lee’s old school records and certificates — and have them also for “SHOW and TELL”  time – – guess that they still do that  in SCHOOL.

“Time sure does FLY…”

“Just wait … When you hit the “Eighteenth Birthday” –  This is when…  there will  not be an extra moment…  to do anything – – “The Clock” is moving just too…FAST!”

Here I am… in the NAVY… and on my first leave… for it will soon be CHRISTMAS – –  and I am celebrating my “BIRTHDAY” with my FAMILY – – only have so many days’ to do so much!”

“This is one of my “MOM’s” favorite PHOTO”s of me… she had to show it to all of her friends and neighbors – – and then reported back to me… that our neighbor, Jackie Jansen thought  – –  that, this PHOTO of me – – reminded her of the movie star,  “Errol Flynn.” I  told my “MOM” to tell “Jackie”  – – that “Errol Flynn”  might look a little like me – – but, I always look like “MYSELF” – – and then,  let me know  – – what she  thinks – – about that?”

“Sometimes… when you want to get somewhere – – and in a hurry… LOOKS like there is always someone around that will  want to stop…  and just take PHOTOS!”Lee take-off 001

“The “TIME is a FLYING BY” – – and I’m  just  standing here … “LOOKING PRETTY” – – as my “MOM” will tell us – – when we are standing around and not getting things done – – and in a hurry!”

“So… if…  and “when” you are ready to…  “Take off and FLY” – – “Let’s get this “ship” up and in the AIR!”

“I am patiently waiting…to blow…”

Lee 3 001

When you are going to be “THREE YEARS OLD” – – that is when you will get to “BLOW  OUT” the candles on your  Birthday Cake… why do I have to just wait …till everybody else is ready…with their cameras and recording devices – – “I’m getting old…just sitting and waiting!”

Looks like the candles will melt away all by their selves…before I even get to BLOW them OUT… sure do wish that someone would take time to remember – –  that it is my BIRTHDAY… and soon I will be an old man…just waiting to BLOW OUT the candles.  “Sure am glad… that no one is telling me to take my elbow off the table… it is handy to have something…to lean my head on… I sure do like to do thongs on time…and it is past the TIME…to get this BIRTHDAY PARTY  on the road or go  – – let  us get this “SHOW”  started…  and let’s get going with the cake and ice cream!”  “I can hardly WAIT!”

“If I don’t do it…WHO will?”

“Looks like someone …left a lawn mower out… so I guess that I may as well give them a hand… and do what I can…to get this grass cut???”

This is Lee Jr., and he sure does like to grab a hold of the “Lawn and Garden” tools … and see what…if anything he can do… to help do what he sees others doing… just to make the place…look like some lives here and really cares.

Lee Jr.,  just could be …and or near to his 3rd Birthday… and with all  of this Florida Sunshine… his muscles  and strength must really be  kicking into “HIGH”  gear! He never was a kid to just sit in front of the Television and  eat… as some of the children do today.  Lee  must have  had an  internal clock  – installed …in his young body… – that said… you have to do whatever you can… and do it  NOW…to build up a body…that will last as long as you want.

So…I am  for all  those – – that   can do something  – –  just  as soon as they  can…to improve their body…to make it as fit as they can… and since Lee is NOW… much older today…I am happy to say…that he has always done the body-building techniques that help to make you physically fit…for what ever your LIFE’s work will demand of you.

NOW…is the time of the year…to review and reflect on all of the gifts we have received…all these wonderful days of our LIFE… and with Gratitude  and Thankfulness… stop whatever we are doing and remember – –  that without our great CREATOR…to give us that which  we have received…we would be nothing and have nothing.   “Thank YOU Almighty Yahweh…. YOUR GIFTS are the BEST!”  DV
