Today’s – New Friend
Today – went out to the back porch to pick up a toy the grand-kids left out side for their dog, and as I am turning around to come back inside, I hear a very faint, “Meow – Meow!” So, I turn looking and scanning the yard and I start answering with me “Meowing and Meowing ” – and looking – and here comes a golden-yellow color cat!
She runs up the steps just as fast as she can – looks like she has done without a few regular meals – so I step inside and get a dish and put some cat food on it, and place it in front of her. She goes to it and just does not stop. This is the first time a cat immediately eats when I give the “stranger” something good! So, I also keep ready a bag of “treats” and she did not stop – she just kept eating as fast a she could – she has not had it so good in a long time – at least that’s what it seem to me?
I figured with eating all that dry food – surely, she should have fresh water – so inside for water for the “royal Queen” – she just forgot me – so I went to the garage to find a box and sure enough – found one not too big and grab a towel to make it feel like home? A little more food – into the box corner so she would know that this box was for her.
The “Queen” made an inspection of the porch – surveyed every nook and corner – into the box and took a nap! Guess I will be having a “New Friend” for a while?

Tom -73 and Den 74 and Me 75
These pictures were taken in Fairgrounds Park, in North Saint Louis, Missouri. A good guess would be the Summer of 1944! We often walked to the “Park” as this was close to home just to “Fish” and “Play” and also with our parents.
One of the stories you will read about my having to criss-cross through the “park to buy sugar on sale and of course in those days you had to have your “Ration” coupon to buy sugar! When in High School – I walked through this park, every day! No bus service!
“Advance your mouse to “February 18th, 2017″ – – for an additional PHOTO and more story!”

Happy Birthday Daddy! (2-2-12)
These pictures were taken maybe 1939 in the back yard of William and Irene C. Brady -Riley . They had the down-stair flat – on Ashland Ave. St.Louis, MO.
Denny Jr., in the arms of Denny Sr., Daddy on the right, maybe six months old. Mary Ellen in the arms of Daddy on the left, and almost 20 months old. These are the days when kids live in the “Love” of their parents’ arms! Thank Almighty Yahweh… for giving parents strong arms to hold their children in their arms as often as they have the opportunity! *********

February Birthdays
Wow! More Birthdays ! This month of February is really going to be “Fun” – for some! Half of this month , starting on February 10th and for 15 days starts the Year of the Snake! Did I say the word “Lucky” – you know who you are and when your “year” rolls around you know just what to do and when to cash in on all those intuitive ventures that are determined to be big winners for you!
February 2nd – ground hog day – a day we all wait on just to find out if more bad weather will follow?
Denny H. McClarren, Sr. father of Thomas F. McClarren and identical twin daughters, Kathleen and Eve Karen McClarren.
Valentine’s Day is that special day no one should forget – unless you want to live in the “dog house” for a long time? There is a lot to do this month and all of it includes having just as much “fun” as you want to put into it? So “celebrate in a big way!”
With all there is to do and to plan for this month – For all those having a Birthday this month that I know and those that I do not have on my list – Happy Birthday!
My wish and prayer is to Almighty God – to send out His most abundant blessing to all the “Birthday ” people this month and to your loved ones!
