Aug 12th “Denny… in Mom’s Arms…”

“This is one of the “BEST” photos of  my “MOM” – –  – after having two  big… and I mean “BIG” size babies… she still has the best shape ever!”

Aug 11th “Take Good Care of – “OUR NEW BABY!”

This is  one of my favorite pictures… My Mother is holding our  brand NEW BABY… little DENNY Jr. – – and for the longest time  – I just could not  say…  “DENNY” –  I would call him…  “DE DE” – and of course he was too small and did not notice me…. as a brand NEW BABY  –  Denny was getting his diapers changed … his daily bath with new and clean clothes… and in those days … we were all breast-fed – which was very  good for the baby  – building strong bones and a much better  diet  (natural vitamins) – than bottles – – – and, that is… if –  they even  had bottles back then.

In this photo… I am… one year and four months older,  than DENNY – – – and I can see how I am watching everything… that is going on – just making sure that everything is “OKAY”  with…  and for  “OUR NEW BABY” –  – as – a NEW BABY in the household … calls for changes – – and this is where – I am paying particular attention.   (Accidents…do happen.)

Back in the day when we were little – there was no “DAY-CARE” places to drop off your children – so while “Moma” was to be in the hospital …to get our NEW BABY DENNY – someone needed to take care of me –  for almost three weeks. “Doc Cooper” –  who owned the flat that we were living in …said that they would take  good care of me. Well… they did not do a very good job – – as they let me sit down on the “heating grate” – it was on and hot,  and I must have gotten  a little burn on  my bottom side   – and that was the last of our living there. My Mother could not get over how a “Doctor” could let that happen – but,  who ever was in his household – just were not in the habit of taking care of little children, “one-year old’s?” That just was one accident – that –  should not have ever  happened!

Aug 10th “Do It – NOW… or Never…”

“76 and 77 and 78″… when the above photo was taken in the summer time… and in “Fair-Grounds Park” in the North Saint Louis area – –  I think that we might have been “5 and 6 and 7” years old. Do we look like we are a year a part  in age?

The youngest is “TOM” – he has the “Blond” hair… and  “Denny” is in the middle with the “best shade of RED hair” – just what I always wanted… but my hair color was the old mousy brown  – – when I was older I tried using stuff to change my hair color – but to no avail… whatever I tried – this one year summer … gave me an orange e color  – – and then I got a notice to renew my “Driver’s License” –  I’m guessing…that –  they  may have wondered… “what in the world … is that “crazy nut” –  trying to do… to her hair???  “What color of “HAIR” does she think she should have???”

Well… with all that silly stuff… I’m guessing that  NOW  you know that I am the oldest… and after all these many years – – I’m wondering … “Why  in the world  – do we not have  more “sense” than we have – when we are starting out in LIFE – and then  – what happens down the road – – – when we are trying to figure out which  “PATH” would be the correct one to follow???  – As the oldest –  I almost think that –  there should be –  some type of “pre-screening” of the  “Roads and or Paths”   … that – and  if you select this one – you will be doing this … and if you go here for awhile and try this – – well … somewhere down the “Road of LIFE” – – you just will not quite be satisfied???

It is not until… you have been  “UP and OVER” the hump of LIFE – you might say – –  you NOW feel – – that if you did this or that… You would have accomplished … so much more – –  but, like me… my old “eighteen year old brain”  has all of  these real  good ideas of what and how I should   NOW  do stuff… TODAY – but,  this “old bag of “BONES” has me all locked up… and just won’t let “ME” out to do “my thing” … any more???

“So… this is a word to the wise… really –  check out what you are dreaming  about…”  “As soon as you feel inspired with some great ideas… write them down… don’t forget what your “DREAM” is all about!” “Don’t let that “DREAM” be forgotten – and never abandon it!”  “Pursue and stay FOCUSED – –  remember…You were created for something “SPECIAL” and that each of us has a very important “MISSION” to do this “LIFE TIME” – and that…  if you “DO IT NOW” – –  starting  on it right away – –  and,  never to  forget,   how “SPECIAL” you are – – – and we (the world) are  “ALL”  counting on you to do  – –   that which only “YOU” can do!”   “NOW…DV”
