“GRAND-CHILDREN make WORKS of ART”
In my “BOOK” – – my GRAND-CHILDREN score all “A’s” – – for all of the excellent work that they do in the field of ART… especially when… they were first given their own “Super ART SET” – – lots of paper and all the time it took – – to create a “WORK of ART” – – all of these “TREASURES” I have saved – – and admire – – and so very grateful for – – – and let us not forget – – that all children are ready to be inspired by their Parents and Grand-Parents – – if only we will all just give to them… some of our… TIME.
The best thing in life is Family! What is the next best? Children and Grand Children are of course like receiving “Gold Stars” on your report card! The road we are on, – on our journey through life is mysterious, since we travel without maps to direct our path – destiny unknown? We move to this location, this house, this school, and what is our “Guiding Light?”
On my book shelf, I found two (2) of my favorite books! The first book title is “Animals” written and illustrated by “Alyssa Aldrich,” in the second grade. She , of course writes about each animal, and one of her favorite’s is the “Dolphin” with information so complete and descriptive, that the reader has received… some real informed food for thought!
Then without a doubt, Alyssa uses her artistic ability in colorful paints, to put a real live looking animal in her book, forever! What really takes my breath away, is her dedication page. “To My Grandma” that would be me! She also wrote in the book how much effort she put into the book because she knew how proud I would be of her! I am so very proud of Alyssa – today – tomorrow – and… forever!
When the Schools encourage “Story Writing” in the early grades of school, I feel that this is one of the best lessons taught! For first graders’ to write a story and on the opposite page, illustrate, interpret the words they wrote, with a drawing filled in with colorful paints, it’s amazing!
To have each student’s book bound into a hard cover book, with their picture and name of their teacher and school – truly a treasure – to be kept forever! And, I am one of those “Grandmas” that keeps and saves everything , my children and grandchildren bring home from school.
I was just telling someone about the books, and this one, by Jaime Aldrich, and her title, “Changes Around Us” and they wanted to know what it was about? So, I started reading and describing the matching drawings. “No Way!” “She is super- smart to even think about the ‘Seasonal Changes’ and describe everything so well!” It makes me feel so good to receive such excellent comments about my grand-children’s books – my Best Treasures! “To My Family” and “I Love You,” is what Jaime wrote on her Dedication Page!
This is my “POSTER – CHILD – PHOTO” – – my GRAND-SON, ALAN. This PHOTO should be published in all SCHOOLS – – for all TEACHERS to view – – so that all children are given… paper and color pencils and what ever “ART SUPPLIES” available – – and just… let each child use their own imagination… to create a “WORK of ART” – – for their FAMILY to treasure…. forever!

“GRANDSON…makes GRANDMA’s DAY”
“YOU heard that “JOKERS ARE WILD” – – Well … what do you think of this “JOKER” – – – that I am standing next to?”
Several years ago , when at work, I was bragging to fellow workers and showing them the “prize” I won and am thanking “The Lord” for giving me such a talented grandson! My grandson, Alan Aldrich has such good ideas, when it comes to me asking him to put on paper, something I have in my brain and I am describing, and expecting him to show me my thoughts in drawings? He does just that! Then in my case we have to think up just the right words to make the drawing. A slogan – words and pictures – is what I am after. All this is for a “Contest” at work Alan helped me to be one of the “Winners!”
The gal, in the cubical next to mine , Jane Amati, came over wanting to find out if I could get my grandson, Alan to make a “Court Jester” maybe 6-foot tall, to hang on one of the pillars in our section? And she would buy and bring the construction paper, if he would? Also, the “Court Jester” had to have one of those three-pointed type headpieces. Alan said he would try , and he made some rough drawings to see what I thought and they looked good to me so we work on it, I mostly looked and then had to go to bed.
The next morning , there “It” was, all ready to go to work! Jane could hardly believe that Alan was able to get “It” done! So we started to hang “It” on the entrance pillar on the isle of our section at work and on the next couple of days , workers in our section were bringing other goodies to hang. With the “Court Jester” in full color, and movable parts, our isle at work looked like “Bourbon St., New Orleans – Mardi Gras ” style!
The “Court Jester” looked so good, we had to leave “It” up, for months as other departments were sending people over to have their picture taken with Alan’s, “Court Jester!”

“Here’s a PRAYER to say FOREVER”
The best TIME to teach PRAYERS – – to children – – is when they are young. So when in “GRADE SCHOOL” – here is a “PRAYER” that I had to learn – – and this very short PRAYER is still one “PRAYER” that I still say each and every day.
TODAY – – in these TIMES – – we need some HELP from above – – and as often as we can during each day – – we should have some good and short wonderful words to speak to our Almighty Creator.
Sister Margaret Mary – Remembered
When, Sister Margaret Mary was stationed as a teaching Nun at German St.Vincent Orphanage in the 40’s , her name was Sister Mary Gilbert, and she taught the 7th and 8th grades. There were four (4) large classrooms and each of the four (4) teaching Nuns taught two (2) grades per classroom. Thinking back now, on the 2-grade classrooms, helps the learning process.
As Sister Mary Gilbert would be teaching the 8th graders, and just as you let your mind wonder you hear what the 8th graders are discussing and or a student having a problem with the subject and all of this is registering in your brain, ready for recall!
Next year, when you are in the 8th grade, you can “ACE” right on through! It also works the other way, too! What you did not learn or understand last year, here’s your refresher course.
Sister Mary Gilbert taught us , when I was in the 7th grade, a short prayer, that I never forgot! “Grant, O Lord, that I may know They will, and do it!” I can still see her writing that prayer on the blackboard to copy in our note books, so as to “remember,” forever!

“SO… SORRY”
Sometimes it is just best to say … “YOU ARE SORRY” – – – and right NOW – – that is what I have to say… “SORRY” – – because my brain is not working like it usually does – – it is just tired – – or for some unknown reason – – it has taken a well deserved “TIME OFF” from regular duties – – and that is including writing some real good and interesting stories – – and seems to make me limited to … just sit back and wait for … healing and some quick inspiration – – while waiting.
Do something. Anything. But do not stand still.
Do not remain”on the horns of a dilemma.” Do not fence sit.
swing the opposite leg over and start walking.
You’ll know before you take ten steps if
you’re going in the right direction.
Not to decide is to decide.

“This “DOCTOR” makes House Calls”
Today… When you feel so bad… your PAIN is killing you… You do not know what to do for a cure – – – “Let me suggest … the perfect “DOCTOR” for any situation!”
Everyone calls this “DOCTOR”… “Mr. Wonderful” – – He can cure everything and anything… – – and with… a terrific “Gift of GAB” and a complete range of magic with words – – including ideas of what to do – – for a perfect cure – – you would be missing the “BOAT” – – if you do not call on “Mr. Wonderful”… for HELP!
“The perfect “DOCTOR” – – the one that will make “HOUSE CALLS” – – so therefore… He is called “Mr. Wonderful”… himself.” “Here is the real “McCoy… himself”
You know… that… this is “MR. WONDERFUL” – – – because it is written in GOLD threads on his shirt! The one and only “TOM McCLARREN”
If only we could go … to all of our neighbors’ front door – – and after we ring the door bell – – and the neighbor…. opens the door – – and gives – – to you… the big beautiful “WELCOME” smile – – you see on “MR. WONDERFUL’s” face – – you would start to think – – this neighborhood is in HEAVEN – – – because – – like you read in the good book – – it states… to LOVE your NEIGHBOR – – and if this is not the “GOOD NEIGHBOR…LOVE thy NEIGHBOR with a “Mr. Wonderful”… WELCOME” – – – well … “I’LL just eat my HAT – – and I have HATS for every occasion!”

“Saluting – PARENTS Who Adopt Children”
God’s Blessings… to those PARENTS that will ADOPT children.
Blessed be those Parents who can find it in their hearts to “Adopt” children and give them a home life that they will all enjoy for the rest of their lives!
Adopting children is something so special, and so very costly to the “Parents” who decide to make this commitment and I feel that more of us Americans should give a helping hand to these special Parents, who go the extra mile to bring up unwanted children in a home where “LOVE” is the most important ingredient to the home life.
Every child comes into this world with the same requirements: will I receive “LOVE” – will I be the most important person to this family – will I be treated with the same care and treatment that will inspire me to be a credit and a help to my family and able to pass on the “LOVE” I receive to the next generation?
If we had more “Parents” today that would consider taking in children, so as to discourage aborting and save the children – who are suffering so much of this pain that is in the “NEWS” at the hands of murderers in these abortion clinics.
Almighty God continue to bless my brother Denny and his wife Judy, who with Your special “LOVE” and help all these years – were able to adopt three lovely children! Thank you Denny and Judy for a job well done!
