“NATIONAL OHIO DAY”
On November 2, National Ohio Day recognizes the 17th state to join the United States known as the Buckeye State, the Mother of Modern Presidents and the first state to enter the country from the Northwest Territory.
Elaborate and pre-historic remains of a civilization who created mounds can still be found in parts of Ohio. By the time Europeans began to arrive on the continent, Ohio was primarily populated by Kickapoo, Erie and Shawnee.
This Great Lakes State’s northern border includes 312 miles of Lake Erie shoreline. For Ohioans, that’s both an economic and recreational boon. It’s also a natural resource. As the 12th largest lake in the world, the consumable food and water it provides are invaluable.
From the icy blue lakes to crystal clear sky, Ohio has been known to look to the clouds. Whether we recall the Wright Brothers for getting us there, the pilots who went there, seek out observatories to look deeper, and of course, the astronauts who go where few have gone before, Ohio keeps our heads in the clouds!
From the cities to the countryside, Ohio feeds the eyes and the stomach. Curiosity seekers and adventurers alike will find their place. History buffs and collectors, it’s all here.

“NATIONAL AUTHOR’S DAY”
Every year on November 1, millions of people celebrate authors and the books that they write on National Author’s Day.
Books have a mind of their own. They take time to develop, research, draft, edit, revise, and rewrite. The stories we devour and indulge in as we drift off to sleep, travel, or allow to collect dust on several flat surfaces in our homes may take years to reach a publisher. We may have only one favorite author or many collected works with which we cannot part. Whether we prefer fiction, non-fiction, or a mix of both, authors have been telling stories to fill our heads for thousands of years.
Authors keep a record of history through their stories. They mark time through their observations of history. Their tales create remarkable memories of place, sealing it between the pages of the binding. Their books allow us to keep coming back to visit again and again.
After her grandmother’s death in 1968, Sue Cole promoted the observance of National Authors Day. She urged people to write a note to their favorite author on November 1, to “brighten up the sometimes lonely business of being a writer.” She also suggested flying the American flag as another way of show. ing appreciation for the writers who have created American literature

NATIONAL AUTHOR’S DAY HISTORY
In 1928, Nellie Verne Burt McPherson, president of the Bement, Illinois Women’s Club, had an idea of setting aside a day to celebrate American authors. McPherson was a teacher, and throughout her life, an avid reader. While she was recuperating in the hospital during World War I, she wrote a fan letter to fiction writer, Irving Bacheller. She told him how much she enjoyed reading his story Eben Holden’s Last Day A’ Fishin.
Upon receiving her letter, Bacheller sent her an autographed copy of another story. It was then that McPherson realized she would never be able to thank him adequately for his gift. McPherson decided to show her appreciation by submitting an idea for a National Author’s Day to the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. In May of 1929, the club endorsed a resolution for National Author’s Day to be observed honoring American writers. The United States Department of Commerce recognized this day in 1949.

AEROS: PRONOUNCED: (Air-Ohs). It was a glorious time in the cosmos, and there was something fantastic happening…The birth of a new star called Aeros appeared in the heavens like a finger of a god, reaching out and taking control of the darkness, and it had a beam of light like no other in the universe. It was like one hundred nuclear bombs going off at once! Aeros was a shooting star that began to light up the darkness throughout the universe, and life began to flourish and grow, and pieces of light were left behind from place to place that Aeros had visited. He was a shooting star that brought light and justice, to dead space. And the people looked to the skies with amazement as a new star appeared in the heavens, riding across the sky like the chariots of the gods. And some of the people were calling it the age of Aeros. Aeros can see the past, the present, and the future, and has been at war with the evil Red-mist known as Lucy, from the dark side of the cosmos, since the dawn of time. And is now on a mission to fight evil and to enforce justice throughout the cosmos, when the forces of good and evil come together and do battle on Judgment Day; and he also formed the Justice League of the Gods. And meet King Al, who will have great powers from the mighty stars in the cosmos, and will help to save the people from great disasters in the future, and help guide the people back to happiness; and he will also carry on the AeroCad legacy. King Al was born to fly, and is a master of flight, and is enlightened with the vision of the future, and the birds of paradise, and was also taught to treat everyone nice. Just don’t make him mad, because King Al wears big army boots, and he won’t hesitate to plant one on your backside, until cream filling comes oozing out of you!AEROCAD –
