“A DREAM today from our BEST DREAMER”

Hi Grammy,

I found another one of Dads dreams. Man, did he have some great dreams or what?! I thought you’d enjoy reading this one too.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hatchet Dream…
I dreamt when I was maybe fifteen year old and lived at home on Fenway that I was down by the barn
playing around with some hatchets (there an axe on one side and a hammer on the other side). And I
remember my brother Lee, told me earlier, if I see a guy down by the barn that doesn’t belong here that I
should get rid of him, and I said don’t worry I will. So later, I heard something in the barn and I thought
that’s probably the guy in the barn that doesn’t belong here. So, I walked up to the door with these three
hatchets I was playing around with and was trying to figure out the best way hold all three of them before I
went inside. So, I grabbed two of them in my left hand and kept the best one in my right hand and then I
thought to myself for a second, what am I doing? Then I decided to go inside the barn, I push the door
open and walked inside and there was a big man standing in the hallway! I was pretty big at fifteen, over
six foot tall and weighed about 200 lbs. but I had to look up at him because he must have been around
6’8” and close to 300 lbs. I was a little bit scared, but I held up my hatchet in my hand and started to say
who are you? And then he turned around and ran outside the other door and I thought to myself, I should
have thrown the hatchet at him. Because, I could hear him around the corner grab a shotgun and cock it,
and thought, oh s*** he’s going to shoot me!
And then he step back into the hallway and pointed the gun right at me and shot it twice! I kind of duct
down and turned away and thought oh my god he shot me! But, I didn’t feel it hit me and I thought he
couldn’t have missed, and when I turn back around and he was gone. So, I went back outside around the
back to look for him and was standing by the big barn doors in the back and I heard something inside. So,
I had to squeeze through the door to get inside and walked into the first horse stall and there he was
trying to re-load his gun again. So, I took my hatchet and swung and at him and hit him right in the back
of his head and then I hit a two or three more times, but he was still standing! And then I noticed I had the
hatchet turned the wrong way and was hitting him with just the hammer side. So, I turned it around and hit
him again with the axe side and he fell down to the ground, but he was still alive!
Then it was like on the Tommy Boy movie when Tommy told Richard, if I want a kiss I’d ask your mom…
So, then I hit him again right in the mouth with the axe and he said I felt that one! And then I felt kind of
bad for hitting him even though he was trying to shoot me! I don’t know if I really wanted to kill him but he
was pretty messed up after I hit him in the face with the axe, and I felt like I had to put him out of his
misery. So, I hit him a few more times in the head to try to finish him off, but he was hard to kill! And then I
thought to myself, did my brother want me to kill him are just get rid of him? But, then I thought he did
shoot at me and it’s too late now!

“Lee is with new born Baby Al”

This was a prize winning photo … back when it was taken… 1962.

You see here…  Little Lee looking into  the baby crib of our brand new little baby “AL” …

Al was just born on January the 9th…  just with in an hour of Elvis Pressley’s birthday… as our little Al  … had decided  as only he could… Al did not want to share the same birthday… as  with someone that  has already  had his birthday on January the 8th……

As Elvis just  had the biggest of events… for years to come!

Don’t criticize what you don’t understand, son. You never walked in that man’s shoes.” –
Elvis often used this adaptation of a well-known quotation.

After having taken this PHOTO of our brand new baby boy, “AL” just had to send it to all of the relatives living in Saint Louis… as we were living in Florida!

My Aunt Irene Brady Riley… just loved this PHOTO so much, that she had to have  it enlarged  and sent back to me…  a copy of it enlarged … since it was just the best  ever PHOTO she saw!

Lee & Al 001

Aunt Irene said…”It looks like Little Lee and Baby Al are talking… as baby AL is holding his ear to hear… each and every word that big brother LEE is saying… and Little LEE is trying to be so quite, so as not to disturb his little baby brother Al… as he needs to sleep to get big enough to play…  with him!

When you bring home a brand new little baby… you sometimes wonder how things are going to work out, as the older child was always the center of all of the attention, and now things look like they are going to be changed.

In LIFE… things have a way of working out for all and for many years.

Each child has and receives all the things in their LIFE time here and learn to make the most of their situation.

Both sons were well educated in all of those things that they each like to do and  in life did share so much  as they traveled the path that they selected to follow.

Al did learn to fly and built planes and travel and did get married and  was Blessed to have had one son and two wonderful daughters… and the topping in this LIFE is to then have… the best of best, “Great Grand-Children!”

With all of the Blessings that we receive in LIFE… I guess that most know that there will be some “RAIN” to fall just when everything is going so well… for all  of the family and in these times in LIFE…  here on Earth…we just are  not  prepared to receive… an unexpected tragedy to hit us!

In these times today… with so many things hitting people head on with all kinds of  pain… there is nothing like “Cancer!”

The sneak thief of “CANCER” has a way hitting a person… so that  it is not detected and or known by the person that is slowing receiving…  and into… different parts of the body without sufficient pain… to know that this “CANCER” is killing you… and when you finally detect that you have been hit with it…”You are just  too for gone… for a cure!”

“Al has left… EARTH…NOW”

“What a DAY to GO to Heaven”

Big Al

Many events of worth

Took place in ’62.

Man first orbited Earth,

The planet, green and blue.

There was the crisis

With Cuban missiles.

People tried to entice us

To change civil judicials.

The Space Needle tower

In Seattle was completed.

Spiderman first came to power

In comic books, undefeated.

The Beatles performed;

Their first single was lit.

The Rolling Stones formed,

Launching hit after hit.

Elvis Presley, King of Rock,

Released album number five,

Right before Spock

From Star Trek went on live.

Of all the exciting stuff of the era,

The most monumental of all,

Was the big-puff entrance where

Dad ushered into the world as “Al.”

As a kid, I was often the new girl in school,

Teachers asked me to share something rad

About myself, something I found to be cool,

I told them I was born the same day as my dad!

Dad will be remembered for his brilliance,

Undeniable charm, wit,

Free-spirited resilience,

For being open-minded and having grit,

For his generous heart of gold,

Ways he influenced us,

The stories he told,

His laughter, so robust.

My entire life, Dad was a cool guy,

A steadfast presence.

Now, angel in sky,

I remember his essence:

Laughter ensuing

All day long,

And carefully choosing

Words written in song.

Appreciating quirks of a fellow human

Reminds me of lessons

That he would illumine

During euphoric brainstorm sessions.

I always knew he was looking out

For my best interest all along.

In my mind, there was no doubt,

My dad, he was so strong.

He was genuinely curious about our lives,

Attentive, loyal and very accepting.

He walked us down aisles to turn into wives,

By our side, always respecting.

We talked together about all there is;

He was eager to hear my suggestion.

Dad was a creative force, I know this.

He forged the way without congestion.

He never felt the need to conform

To a pre-existing standard of living.

He was passionate, beyond the norm,

Pursued things he loved, while also giving.

He’d muse over an ideation,

Extracting something comical,

From his endless reservoir of creation,

Making storytelling astronomical.

His sense of humor was remarkable.

There was so much he cared about.

So in no particular hierarchical,

Here’s what he did in life throughout:

He was a multi-instrumentalist musician,

Guitarist, pianist and songwriter who sings.

He was a man on a mission,

Who could fly anything with wings.

Airplane and helicopter pilot,

Motorcyclist, aerospace engineer,

A lot of this, he did in private,

Too much to mention here.

Self-published author,

Connoisseur of film and rock n roll, man.

Aerocad Chief Executive Officer,

Plus a diehard Days of Our Lives fan.

Of the many accomplishments in his lifetime,

The most everlasting was becoming a father,

Creating a multi-generational familyline,

And don’t even bother

Worrying about generations still to come.

Each and every descendent

Will know who they’re from.

They’ll understand the transcendence.

There’s no way they won’t when

All of us were named

After the man, myth and legend.

His mark was proclaimed.

Alan, Jaime Allison and Alyssa.

Dad even chose the naming of Lex,

Passing down traits like a genius militia,

So his genes can live on to the next.

I really admire the person Dad was.

He was methodical and strove for precision.

He was deep and lived for a good cause,

Always full of intellectual wisdom.

He balanced his headiness

With lightheartedness, of course.

He always had a readiness

To tap into his source.

Even handling terminal illness,

Embracing the inevitable

Took courage and stillness

And showed he is incredible.

A man with big dreams

Has now come to perish.

Heartfelt loss bursting at all of our seams,

Leaving us with memories to cherish.

Dad’s precious life reached the end of its rope.

It’s the greatest loss I’ve ever had to face.

Now we’re left to struggle to cope,

And treat our sorrows with gentle grace.

I miss Dad and hope he knows what he meant,

As we yearn for more experiences.

However, I’m grateful for the quality time spent,

Creating lifelong bonds, and what’s serious is:

Those bonds will connect us for all eternity,

Into whatever afterlife has in store.

In this life, there was paternity,

Perhaps, what’s next is more.

I’ll wish so badly that I could see Dad again,

Talk with him, hear him, hug him, joke around,

Jam out, play and just be with the champion,

Enjoy his love and laughter abound.

Mortality is a concept with complexity

Difficult to fully comprehend.

The universe is vastly interconnected allegedly,

And there’s an illusion to the bitter end.

It feels like a mind-blowing symphony,

Conjuring up a grand finale in the final breath,

With vibrations from tones and sweet imagery

As if parting ways at the valley of death.

But, reality is full of infinite potential,

And it comforts me to know my dad.

Knowing how he’d respond is essential

To carry on with what he would have had.

I also won’t hesitate to look for a sign

From him when he is on the other side,

Letting me know that everything’s fine,

And feeling his powerful love as my guide.

“A LONG SHOT…”

img157

With a PHOTO  as the above… taken from an AIRPLANE  –  – looks like the children put all of their  “TOYS” on the  kitchen    table – –  and set-up an arrangement – – that – – this  kind of looks  like  – –  this – –   just might be … the local AIRPORT!

If you did enlarge – the above  PHOTO…  then you will  be able to see the smoke coming up – – from the Bar-be-Que pits –  on the right side of this  day’s scheduled events.  On the right side you will be able to see that there is an area for you to pull in  – – with your large rigs  – – that you will be able to find the location – – –  for your FAMILY or  GROUP  with whatever kind of CAMPER  – – –   that you will use for the whole WEEK-END  of activities!

img158

This  – – LOOKS like an even  LONGER SHOT of the AIRPORT area and how and where all of the VISITORS – – are finding a place for their over night stay  – – or a nice place to tie-down their Airplane.   There is a local MOTEL with in a very short drive – – as several of the PILOTS  – go together  for a run into town – –  there  will  always  be  some little item – – you remember – –  that you must have – – –  – – you just forgot to pack!

img159

Try  to see if you can find me – – standing  and ready to  start serving the “SNOW CONES” – – in he hot weather – –  a “SNOW CONE” in your favorite flavor – –  or you might just want to try a  “SNOW CONE”   – – and have it several colors mixed together!

“Cameras – Catch the Action!”

img154

For the  “ACTION” – – get those CAMERAS   fixed on the “PILOTS and  PLANES” – –   don’t forget to  LOOK UP and catch the “SKY-DIVERS” – –

(click on PHOTO – to enlarge)

To have the bleachers set up – – on either side of the  Airport   “Taxiway and Tie Down”  area – – sure was a good idea – – as there were individuals doing “SHOWS” just for  FUN – GAMES and PRIZES – –  –   and  there was a special  “SHOW” – – that I was  not informed before hand  – would take place – –

A Pilot..dressed like an old lady  – you would have thought that she was at least “80 years old” – – started to take off in a small aircraft – – made a few circles – -look like she didn’t know what to do  – – much less FLY a Plane – –  the  “Announcer, GENE PATRICK”  – – made the announcement to stay off the  “Taxiway and Tie Down”  area – – and for someone to come to this old LADY’s aid – –  lots of people  called    to her   to pull the PLANE over – – would you believe the old LADY got out of the PLANE and the PLANE was rolling slowly all by itself…

Then …  the announcer told the old LADY to catch her PLANE and PARK IT! – – Well.. did she ever look silly running after the PLANE –  in circles and everybody laughing and some like myself calling for someone to go to her aid … and  – – DO SOMETHING – before she has an accident… I even looked for my son to  – – get out here and do something – I was scared!

Well… just as fast as all this had started – – the little old LADY – – jumped into the PLANE – – as it was going – – and just like   someone who knows what they are doing – – she turned the PLANE   –  and headed for the runway – – everyone watching – –  and before you knew what was going on – –  the PLANE was up and off the ground – –  and into the AIR – – “there she goes”   – – and then the ANNOUNCER – – let the public in on the “SHOW” – – telling everyone that this was a special arrangement –  – to be for the entertainment of all attending – – that everything was done with safety in mind – – as that –  this  PILOT was really an INSTRUCTOR  – –  and knew exactly what was going on at all times – – that the PLANE used in this type of stunt – – is only used for this type  of  demonstration – – and in training purposes.

Never the less – – it sure looked like a situation that needed an expert to take charge – –  and my heart sure – – got a full work out – – just watching.

“BLUE SKIES and HAPPY FLYING for all our FRIENDS that enjoy   doing  –  –  that which – –   all the rest of the World – – wishes they could do – – and –   want to  have  –  that same special  –   FUN    just  FLYING!”

“NEW Look – from OUTER SPACE!”

img151

“Didn’t  I tell you… they were getting Al’s  “Experimental Plane” ready – – and that is how fast  – – Al can go – – his speeds – – if you are not looking – – you just missed him – – FLY BY!”

If … you are not up-to-date on your  “Airplanes” – – and You were looking up – – and saw Al in the AIR – – and zoom on by – – You would have thought – – the “Aliens” are here – and You were  and are the  very first to see …   how they are coming in!   They are FLYING those NEW type of PLANE with the propeller in the rear!

(  Click on the above photo, You will  get a better view –  Al Aldrich – FLYING)

                    ( –  Well…  What is up… NEXT??? – )

img152

Everyone attending is here to see  a full range of  “Aircraft on Display” – – and so we are going to  give the visitors a surprise with this little special number we thought all “PILOTS” would like as an extra plane – – just something a little different – – – and lots of FUN for the Pilot.

Just a reminder of  some of the  “Day and Night Entertainment” – – we have Skydiving – display of aircraft – Antique Classic – Experimental – GYRO Copters – Ultra Lights – – and Airplane Rides – – a variety of Prizes – – and Camping – RV Area – – and plenty of FOOD and DRINK – – and  since the weather is so good – – we expect everyone will be having lots of FUN!

img153

“What have we got here?”

We saw your “FLYER – for a WEEKEND –  invitation to camp on your grounds FREE – – and to be able to FLY – – whatever we have and want to FLY and have FUN!”
