“Grandma” – “Our Cockatoo landed on top of your head!” “What should we do?” “Looks like he is inspecting all your ‘Bobbie Pin Curls’ – he’s not leaving – no matter what we do!” “He likes the “TOP of Your Head!”
“I think your “BIRD” likes me reading to you – and he must like my voice – he’s just trying to see how long he can sit there – or if he can rattle me in some way and if I will scare him away?!”
“If you – will feel better – you can take him off the “TOP of my HEAD” and carefully put him in his cage – but I still think he likes the change of scenery – where he can see – what I can see!”
“Grandma” – “Just as soon as he looks like he might make a “DEPOSIT” on the “TOP” of you “HEAD” – we are going to take him to his cage!” “OKAY?”
“OKAY!” – “But be careful?”

“Thanks To Grandma!
This is the lower level of Jaime’s house and eight (8) of her friends – to celebrate her “BIRTHDAY” party – that were staying overnight for a “sleep-over” and also enjoy the “HOT-TUB” – with lots of games being played – so that each of Jaime’s friends would have a very nice prize to take home.
No one gets tired except “GRANDMA” – she looks like she needs some sleep – but, right now everyone is waiting for Jaime’s Mom to bring down the Pizza and soft drinks – because it’s not every night you can stay up late – just to have “FUN” – because this is the “FUN GRANDMA” – with lots of games and prizes – up her sleeve – and when she is around – the days’ are too short – for all the fun – that she brings with her!
“THANKS” to our “GRANDMA” and all the “GRAND-PARENTS” – who are so ready to help out and do whatever they can to make “LIFE” – just a little better than the day before!

Seasons of LIFE = Milestones?
It should be required that each person – at some point in time – start a “LOG” of the activities – that they have accomplished as they are traveling this journey –memorable MILESTONES – to mark their personal “SEASONS “ through LIFE! Each of us is so different and has a “PATH” to follow with lessons that only the individual can acknowledge as a personal accomplishment and know at that time – which they are doing that which they were destined for – from the very beginning of all CREATION!
When I was in HIGH SCHOOL – my Driver’s Ed teacher, Mrs. Wolf told me that she thought I would do very well as a Visiting Nurse – my driving was excellent and then I would have to do or take a course in Nursing – of which I did not really give a second thought to – at the time. So often since then – I had wished that I had checked out the “NURSING” field when I was in College – but I didn’t. A friend of mine signing up for College classes was so excited about her NURSING classes – but I continued on with my Teaching classes.
Over the years, my thoughts have returned to that decision in College – and maybe – as much as I like working with older people and like to help people with the knowledge that I have accumulated regarding vitamins and solutions to “HEALTH” problems –just maybe I could have done more for many more people in the “NURSING” field? But with the “SEASONS” of time we go through – and each chunk of time is devoted to different things – since most of us change what our “LIFE” work is to be – to something entirely different – very few of us put in 30 to 40 years at one place of employment – too many of us can only give a short “SEASON” here and there – we go on to “GREENER” pastures!
Wouldn’t “LIFE” be easier if – as we are in our growing into the fields of “KNOWLEDGE” – we could discern exactly what our “PATH” to received the most in complete satisfaction to ourselves and those around us – perhaps family or business partners – so as to make the most of the too “FEW” years we are given – to give account for – when we are called on for a full accounting? Each “SEASON” of “TIME” is one more “MILESTONE” we can check off our “LOG” as a complete and successful accomplishment – there really is no time to devote to failure – as each failure equals a small part of us – having died – as we can never recapture any part of our past existence!
Live each day to the “FULL” –remember yesterday is gone as well as any thought as to how we might have changed it – it is always and only “TODAY” – do as much in this “DAY” as you can – Then you can count each MILESTONE – as checked off with “GOLD” check marks – till you enter into the time of ETERNITY!

V = Victory + V=Vision
During the 1940’s as I remember – almost everyone had a “Victory Garden” and to have your own “GARDEN” gave you the joy of knowing that you were doing your part – to help America win the WAR, that we were entering. To have your own individual – “Victory Garden” – helped you to be self-sufficient and with more and more Americans thinking this way – more of us were able to share with neighbors and friends – so that more of the necessary “ARMS’ – SHIPS and PLANES were made for our men and women in all the branches of SERVICE – to help secure the “PEACE” that all the world is looking for!
To be inspired with the right “VISION” as a good many of our “FORE-FATHERS” had dreams full of idealistic ideas for a beautiful and bountiful future for all the immigrants coming to this large “METING POT AMERICA” – molding our Country into the most wonderful part of this world – that it is and we all are a part of making it the best place to live! Vision is what is needed in everyone to get a dream on the working table – to dream and with a good working knowledge of the possibility that there is a need – understanding that something “NEW” is and will be able to introduce the instruments and equipment that will reveal revolutionary results – to continue to make America – always the Country – where everyone will enjoy and always give the Almighty the “Thanks” for the gifts of “VISION and VICTORY” – where men and women always share, equally!

Happy To Work Today!
“Are you Happy, Now?” My grand-daughter, Alyssa, started saying that little phrase so often – that I guess we all picked up on saying – “Are you Happy, Now?” The more you say that – the more you begin to feel “HAPPY” – no matter what you are doing – you get that “HAPPY” little step going – and each move you make – you are feeling a little lighter – and the moving of the body – is now so smooth as you go -– you almost feel as if you have wings on your feet?
Today, is a day of rest from your “LABORS” – but, everyone that I know has some “WORK” to do today – and if I know from the good old days – “You are so very “HAPPY” just to be employed and grateful for the work that you can do – to bring a nice pay check, home for all your family!”
The best part of this “HOLIDAY” is that we, Americans – live in the land of the “FREE” – and so we are able to travel across this country to celebrate with family and friends whatever event that we might want to part-take in, when and where? We are still free and so “HAPPY” to still do what our “FORE-fathers founded this Country for – with their great vision – that all men should be free to work and live by the fruits of their “WORK!”
This is a day for all of us to celebrate and while doing so – include a time for a prayer of “Thanksgiving” for all our wonderful people who are in office – working to continue the great programs that the “Fore-fathers” initiated in the beginning of our existence – and remember that, much prayer is still in need for the “Leaders” we vote in office today – that they do not stray too far from the good road we were under with the Almighty’s help to “WORK” together – forever!
We should all continue to ask one another “Are You HAPPY, NOW?” Then, we must wait for the answer – find out what is good and that which is not working – so that all together we can come up with a “HAPPY” solution – that we all can “LIVE” with! Are we discerning or are we falling into a “SELF-CENTERED” attitude – is it all for us and only our own way – or the “HIGHWAY” for everyone – who has an opinion, that we decide will not work – our way?
“We all can be HAPPY” – if we can learn to Compromise –Work together – Resolve to WORK – until a solution can be found – where all of us will be very “HAPPY!” – “We can do it!”
