Tom Aldrich with “MAN’s” Best Friend!

This picture of Tom and SHANE – his “WAR-DOG” – reminds me of a movie “Call of the WILD” – the stars were “Clark Gable and Loretta Young” – – you will like it – if you take the time to find it. What caught my attention was – was watching “Clark Gable” with this very “WILD DOG – Duke” – the control he had in getting him to obey him and becoming his “BEST FRIEND!” If anyone would even get near “DUKE” – he would come after him and kill – man or other beast!
That is what Tom had – that personality – that – no matter what type of dog – TOM would be working with – the dog and Tom were able to become best of friends – both knowing that Tom was the one and only “MASTER” – and the dog would know that he was protected by Tom and that the two of them would work as a “TEAM” – with the both of them – being able to read the other – a move – a whisper – a nod – – – each would know exactly the next action that would be taking place.
When you can work with “DOGS” as Tom did – – my feeling is that you have received a very special talent – an extra special “TALENT” that not too many receive from the Almighty Yahweh – and more of us should try learning very early – what natural talents – they may have and work with them – to the glory with a thankfulness to their Creator – – everyone should know that what you receive you should use and then you will receive more! “Try it out and see it you don’t receive so much more – you’ll know where the “MORE” is coming from!”

12-13-14 – Last Chance – Today???

This is when we were living in the “SUNSHINE STATE” – Ft. Lauderdale, Florida! This is also before Tom join the – ARMY – and, also before he decided to get married – you might say – that is before “LIFE” decisions came to him and what he was called to do?? So many of us – when we are young – are absolutely – “CLUELESS” – as to what – should we be studying for – and then have no idea – where and what are we called to do!
Tom did have a passion for animals – especially “DOGS” and when he went into the ARMY – went to Korea – and served with his “WAR DOG SHANE” – and that is where he found what he was sent here for! There comes a time in all of our “LIVES” – when we finally learn to make sense in all that is offered to us to do! – Every generation – seeks and at that point in “LIFE” – finds the place reserved – just for them.
“Happy Birthday Tom” – and may this “DAY” – be the very best of “DAY’S 12-13-14” for you and everyone that this day is here for?!!?

“Who goes to Saint Louis – for Vacation?”
When we lived in Florida – every year – sometime around July 4th – we would drive up – only stopping on the way to pick up “FIRE-Crackers” – so we could have a nice – Family- Celebration, around the 4th! We, were the only “ones” – that – I know of – that just had to make this trip to Saint Louis – each year??? That is until – today!
Unless you have all of your “FAMILY” in and around the Saint Louis, area – what would be of a very special attraction – for a “Vacationing Family” – to just have to see???
Someone notice an out of town “FAMILY” – pull into the parking lot – and probably from the long drive – tired and in need of starching the legs – and as some young children – maybe teenage children – have to bounce around and get carried away with some loud and boisterous talking and really acting so silly – – – – some nearby drivers with their families – start giving their full attention to this out of town family – kind of mentally questioning – what kind of people – come here and seem to want to cause a disturbance???
This is the parking lot for – the” Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis – located on 4431 Lindell – in the area called – the Central West End – Saint Louis, Missouri” – so the out of town-errs proceed to entering the – “NEW Cathedral” – and there seem to be such a complete change – the young girl who seem to be in a wild world – on the outside parking lot – could hardly walk? She was over-come with such a feeling of reverence for where she was – it looked like she was tip-toeing as she slowly turns her head – up and all around trying to take in all of the magnificence of where she was!
The scene that they were taking in – is as nothing anywhere else in America and maybe not even anywhere in the world?? Inside the “NEW CATHEDRAL” – is the largest collections of “MOSAICS” – that – you would almost think that you are in “HEAVEN” – the eyes can hardly comprehend such amazing beauty and glory in honor of the Almighty Yahweh!
The young girl was overheard saying something so profound to her “MOTHER” – – that the person that was over-hearing and was focused on this family – was almost dumb-founded that – a very young child – who was so distracted outside – the “NEW CATHEDRAL” – – now seeing all the – wonder and beauty of the “LORD’s HOUSE” – – a complete reverence for everything around her – overwhelming her with new feelings – – that maybe she had not had before – she is in the presence of the LORD – and bending over with a very soft whisper – for only her “MOTHER” to hear – – “Is it alright – for us to even walk – – – in this very “HOLY PLACE?”

Family – Focus First – Foremost – Forever
At this time of the year – we are in that “SEASON” – when everyone has LISTS” – more lists at this time than any other??? When the stores start decorating for Christmas – and we have not celebrated Halloween – that has to be the first signal that they have all kinds of stuff to sell – and if they can a track – enough people to get into the “MOOD” – to start planning with a “GIFT GIVING LIST” – so we immediately plan a “LIST” – of who is in the “FAMILY” – and what do I have to get them???
We are really forgetting what the true meaning of living on this planet is all about? This most important thing in this “LIFE” is being concerned with our “FAMILY” – First and Foremost! When you first think of your Family and what your part is in being a member of that family – no matter what – either in the poor or rich status – to build up and preserve your “FAMILY” has to be the most important pursuit – that I feel one should have.
If ever – you were alone and not in the home of your family at Christmas – you could understand what I am talking about. Children – who have had some “HOME LIFE” and then are separated – from their parents – changes the whole body of feelings that one should have at this time of year – for their family, but now that feeling is gone – only leaving everyone in the family – in a very painful situation.
Checking back on old history of families – it is not the ones who had lots of earthly possessions that made them happy. Rather – in the lives of people who did very well – you can see that their family core stuck together – through thick and thin. If someone were not able to see what I am talking about – try opening the “BIBLE” to the book of PSALMS – and you will find exactly what I am talking about.
A family that has very little to share in the household – but are all together and enjoy the company of each other in the family – are so “HAPPY” – enjoying each other‘s time – doing acts of kindness – spending maybe nothing at all – but – have had the learning experience – that is most important to all and that is to be content with much or very meager means. If, on the other hand – you have millions and buy and sell the whole world ten times or more and then when – you are in your own home with your family – you do not speak with each other in a civil tongue – never find it possible to say anything nice to anyone – but you can buy everyone million dollar gifts – but in your giving of these expensive gifts, without “LOVE” – all you have in your home is a house full of chaos – and what “FAMILY” wants that???
So, at this time of year – it would be better to downsize of the “BUYING” of “STUFF” that no one really wants and has no real need for – but would if at all possible just “LOVE” to have a few minutes of your precious time!

“I’ve got a “PROBLEM” – over here~”
“This is “TIGER LILY” and I’m requesting some emergency “HELP” — and “RIGHT NOW” – does anyone realize that – for hours I have been trying to get this “GECKO” —- for my lunch – – – today – and – it looks like I am not having any “LUCK” – with this situation – can anybody – give an “OLD GIRL” like me a helping hand???
“I certainly am not blind — but – this “GECKO” is simply trying my patience – I see her as plain as day – but she is flying around – just as if – I’m not even here – and I think she is laughing at me – and everybody knows – that it is not polite – to laugh at a cat – because the cat will get her revenge on the laugh-er – where’s my “ARMY” of friends – – I’m unable to catch her with my paw???”
This is one of those situations – when you could say what my Mother used to say – “OH the GIFT of “Gie us” to see ourselves as others see us” … (from Robert Burns – poem)
Looks like it is getting dark outside – and the old “GECKO” – is probably trying to catch a hold of the “CAT’S PAW” – and cannot make the connection either – that – – they are each – in separate worlds – only the window pane – keeps them – world’s apart! ???

“Don’t forget US – Man’s Best Friend!”

“LUCY, should I – just tell “SANTA” about all the neighborhood stories – that we hear about – from our “Barking Reporter?” —- “HOLD STILL!” —- “Those “SANTA ELVES” have the camera on us – – just pose with your friendliest looking face – – since we have been – so good – I know that we are going to receive some of the best “LOVE” that our “OWNERS” can give – I’m so glad that we came to live with the “McClarren Family” they really treat us so good!”
“SANTA” – we have a barking dog in our neighborhood – and we all call him the “BARKING REPORTER” – since – he barks to all of us – letting us know where the best homes are for “MAN’S BEST FRIEND” – because sometimes – some people just drop off – their animals that they can no longer take care of – and our “BARKING REPORTER” lets all of us – direct those poor friends of our kind – to a home with a loving and kind “FAMILY” that will take in and adopt one more of “MAN’s BEST FRIENDS!” –
So, LUCY, dear – let’s give our “FAMILY” and all the most wonderful “Families” that -take in and give – “LOVE and CARE” – to all our stray friends – the best of “THANK YOU’s” – as only we can do… “BOW -WOW -WOW Bark – barkie – barkio – ooo…”
