“Happy Birthday Karen”
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAREN” – and many more…
Today – while we are now having 3 to 4 inches of “SNOW” – – it sure is the kind of day – that I wish – that I could be where you are on this picture – in sunny “Hawaii!” Sure looks like the best place to be on your “BIRTHDAY” – to be able to shop in a “beautiful ” Jewelry Shop in Hawaii – and to be able to spend a week or two just having lots of “FUN IN THE SUN!”
The best thing in LIFE is to be able to have enough “TIME” – to do all the important things – that you are destined to do – with all the gusto and enthusiasm – that you can muster up…- since the most important thing most of us forget to do – is to really enjoy each and every minute – and feel very satisfied with the results! “LOVE, forever – from all of us!”

“Oh, What a Beautiful Day!”
When it is “SUMMER” – may as well get out in the “SUNSHINE” – and strut yourself! When Mary Ellen says we are going outside and get some “SUN” – then that is what we are going to do!
Mary Ellen is my big sister – and she does not have to work today – so we are going to take a walk all the way over to the O’FALLON PARK – and as we will be walking right pass one of her favorite “ice cream” shops – – we will each get a double-dipper ice-cream cone. Mary Ellen’s favorite ice-cream is “Swiss Chocolate” – that is the only kind she likes. Today I’m going to try the “Butter-pecan” and see if it is as good as they say??? Also, as we will be walking past all the Shops along Florissant Avenue – and do what we really enjoy doing – that is while we are enjoying our ice-cream cones – very slowly – just to make them last till we get to the park.
On our walk back – from the O’Fallon Park – we will be checking out what movies are showing at the O’Fallon Theater – – if there is something good – – we just might go to the movies tonight?? – – So, – it looks like I’ll continue with my singing… “Oh What a Beautiful Morning … – Oh, What a Beautiful Day!” – “I’m so “HAPPY” because tomorrow is my BIRTHDAY!” “Wow !- WOW-ee!”!”

“To my A #1 Valentine!”
Nothing like your one and only “A #1 VALENTINE” to be the “LOVE” of your LIFE, forever! The above photo was taken when we lived in FLORIDA – and while we were sitting on the sofa – someone wanted to take our picture and am I forever grateful – that this picture – just taken in “FUN” – as I was playing with little Lee, Jr. – who may have been around two years of age – on the right side of this photo.
The “newspaper clipping – “MY LOVER” by “Ben Burroughs” – was something that I clipped from the news-paper – because I thought that it applied to us – as sometimes – and only at the right time in LIFE – when everything – that has been previously … pre-ordained … and the “TIME” is right in the COSMOS – do you run into the “SOUL-MATE” – that was especially chosen for you – even though – your “TIME” together here on earth – just will not be forever. “For a very short TIME” here and then later – be together and only then, forever!” So, I am so HAPPY – even if it was for a very short time – and that the MEMORIES” will last till that day that we will meet again!”
The dress that I am wearing is one that I made. That dress called for six yards of material – as seen – – – the “skirt” has all that material – it really makes you feel like a “MILLION” – just so terrific! The pattern also had a version for a straight skirt – and I made several – with the straight skirt – is solid colors – nice and simple and so good for working – so business like, when you are tall and thin – – you could always look just right for any work place! Back then, my waist measurement was 19 inches – – it is not 19 inches any more – must be the cake and or the ice cream??
“HAPPY VALENTINE’s DAY – Lee !” I am hoping that all the young “LOVERS” of this world are always in LOVE with the “One and ONLY LOVE” – and will always be in LOVE, forever! LOVE for another does take lots of hard work – – but with LOVE, you can do it – I know – – and I know that you can do it, too!

“Little Sister wishes BIG BROTHER – Happy Birthday!”
I sure hope that everybody is wishing my “BIG BROTHER” – a very “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” – it is his 75th – so… Everybody – from there to here – and with the loudest and best “TUNE- IN” voice that you can muster up – let’s all on “3” – a 1 and a 2 and a 3 … join in “Happy Birthday TOM aka MR. WONDERFUL!” “Have the best and biggest “Birthday Party” – and many, many more…
This is little “KAREN” – and I do not think that everyone sang as loud as they could have – so if everybody would try again – and cooperate – sing your best and as LOUD – as you only know how – – you know that a lot of these people are getting older by the minute on earth – – – and I hate to say it – – but – some are even a little hard of hearing! I was doing my best to hear everybody sing – – but I know that not everybody up here – in Heaven heard – that which I told them that they should be expecting to hear – – – so now let’s do it – again… – so that everyone in the highest of the heavens – – can enjoy what we are doing for the “75th” Birthday for TOM McCLARREN – – my BIG BROTHER and let us all – – – express our “LOVE” for all of the FAMILY!” “LOVE” from – – KAREN – to you all!!!

“The more you stretch – the taller you get!”
Looks like we are stretching to see who will get taller – faster??? I think that if you stretch your arms far enough each day – soon you will find yourself getting taller?? The reason for all of this stretching is – that by stretching and doing the exercises that require one to stretch – you eventually – move all of those “FAT” cells that are gathering “POUNDS” from the middle of the body to the legs and arms and the parts that make you tall – and before you know it – you could end up becoming a six-foot man?? These are the kind of stories that I told my little brother TOMMY – and would you believe – he grew and grew some more – – to be six-foot and four inches tall!
The year is 1942 and we are – – – that is AMERICA is now in the WWII – and all of us – are doing our part – – for the WAR in our own way – – that is in our own young way, of encouragement! IN the background of this picture you can see the intersection – and when the sirens blew and the searching lights hit the night sky – we would go to that intersection and do our “cart-wheels” and have fun singing all the songs that we knew – like “God Bless America” and “Over There , Send the Word to Beware – that the Yanks are coming – – coming OVER-THERE!” One night during an “AIR – RAID” – we did not have one of the drapes pulled over all the way shut – – as a little “LIGHT” was seen by one of the men patrolling the area – we got a “knock” on the door – and our lights went out and in a hurry – we sure – did not want – – a “BOMB” to hit our house?? “How many are alive today – and still remember – all the thing happening in AMERICA – back when we were having “BLACK-OUTS” – even the BUS SERVICE drove without lights and they maintained their schedule – those were the days – back then???”

“Well” – “The whole “GANG” is here!”
This is the year of – 1940 – because Tommy is just a baby! In looking through the pictures – that I have – this seems to be the oldest photo of baby, Tommy! These two photos – that I join for this article – must have been taken at different times – since the photos have different borders and on the backs of the photos – there is information indicating – different rolls of film and or maybe different developers??
Since these photos are of our “BABY – TOMMY” – these photos are now 75 years old – and that will be on this FRIDAY the 13th of FEBRUARY! To have your BIRTHDAY on the 13th – you can expect to have “GOOD LUCK” – as everyone that I know – those – who have been born on the 13th – have always been “LUCKY” – that is because, – one plus three equals four – and “four” in numerology is a very good foundation to build your LIFE on!
The photo on the left side is of “DADDY” holding our “BABY TOMMY” – and the photo on the right side of “MOMMY” holding our little “BABY TOMMY” – and then – little Denny Jr. is on the left side in our swing- set with me – Mary Ellen . Since we are not dressed for cold weather – and since Tom’s birthday is the 13th of FEBRUARY – we must be enjoying some – early SUMMER weather?
“Help to make this TOM”S – big day – let’s all start singing “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” to TOM – and wish him many – many more – “HAPPY BIRTHDAYS!”
