The “SUNSET CATS – marching…

independance day cats

Isn’t it just wonderful …  that these special “CATS”  can pick up these instruments and just start marching and playing  all the songs … that we LOVE to hear…  to celebrate the 239th anniversary of  our INDEPENDENCE!

That is the “SUNSET’ cat  leading the  march.. …  and holding the AMERICAN   Flag   just so royally and she even has a very special decorative red bow  … tied so nicely about her neck…

I’ll bet you will be seeing these “CATS”  stopping by your place … especially if you will  only  put a small dish of her favorite  “salmon”   near your back door…  because that is where  she usually checks out at my back door for a free handout.

And remember…  the best part of giving  to the “SUNSET CAT” … that  extra  special  treat…  you will receive a special “THANK YOU”  …  in her native language … it sounds something like…”MEOW…meow… MEOW… and a real soft sweet sounding meow…”

“Do not forget these CATS can sing “Happy Birthday Alan” … any time I tell them to start to sing… so just be on the listening channel.”   D.V.

“Alan today, yesterday and and even before”

Sometimes when you are having a “PARTY” for some one and the invited guests have not been around for awhile… It does happen that you may not remember what the “Guest of HONOR”  still looks like…  so…since it has been such a long… long  time.

It is now … good to keep in touch with all  of your family and friends…  and in so doing… no matter where and when… “You” will  for sure … know your best of friends and family… for  that helps us all… by being… all up to date on our most important  things…  will also keep you in the know!

“Can you pick out ALAN … in the following photo?”

“How long did it take for you to identify ALAN?”

So  now … as all things in LIFE… TIME  does go by… and  just so swiftly … we all seem to  have changed … we may or may not quite look the same as we did as the years were either very good… or maybe not so favorable to all of us… in some  surprising way or the other… we just  made the change… just the way that we were suppose too.

“SO NOW… do we know everyone in the above photo… is it an easy task or would   “YOU” say more difficult to say who is WHO?

I think you might say … these were our PRIME YEARS… everything was just wonderful… if I say so, myself!

The guessing game is NOW over… as TIME flies by… as it  is in the habit of doing, so … TIME  has made so many  big changes…

NOW in the arms of  “UNCLE ALAN” is our new addition to the family…  our Little Lex… and Little Lex, has found  that he feels as if…  he is in HEAVEN… when he is being held for long periods of  TIME … in those nice strong arms of  our extra special “BIRTHDAY PARTY  and MAN of the HOUR”…  this weekend!

So after taking the “photo quiz”… get in touch with ME… and I will give  to you… the full details of the PARTY…  that is… when I get them from the other members that are  more in the know of  the directing the show of shows… to be soon completed… in  time… that is before it is  just too late… and  so with all of  important things… of which I am… maybe  the … sometimes last to know…  as… “I  do talk too much,  and give  some info out…  that I am not suppose  to know… to tell.”

“NATIONAL MACARONI DAY with Yankee Doodle Dandy”

NATIONAL MACARONI DAY – July 7th,2020

NATIONAL MACARONI DAY

Each year on July 7th, pasta lovers across the nation dig into one of their favorite noodles on National Macaroni Day.

Made with durum wheat, macaroni is a large variety of dry pasta, which typically does not contain eggs. While many people think the shape gives macaroni its name, the kind of dough used to make the noodles gives it the name. The noodle is formed into shells, spirals, straight and many other shapes, too. And in the U.S., we like our macaroni! In fact, elbow macaroni is the most common form found in the United States.

We use macaroni in many different dishes from casseroles and hot dishes to soups and salads. This versatile noodle makes prepping meals a cinch, too. Many dishes made with macaroni can be made ahead, making mealtime a lot less stressful. Using macaroni in dishes is also an excellent way to stretch a recipe to feed more people.

These convenient noodles serve as a base for cheese dishes as well as meat dishes, too. So, whether you’re a vegetarian or a meat lover, you can celebrate the day.

HOW TO OBSERVE #NationalMacaroniDay

Make your favorite dish using macaroni noodles! Whether it’s hot or cold, it won’t matter as long as it’s delicious. And when you’re using macaroni, you really can’t go wrong. We even have several recipes for you to try.

Macaroni recipes fill books and websites. We would love to see yours! Share them using #NationalMacaroniDay and join the conversation.

NATIONAL MACARONI DAY HISTORY

National Day Calendar continues researching the origins of this delicious food holiday. While we do, won’t you check out these other pasta related celebrations?

There is something that I just remembered about  “MACARONI”

amd Yankee Doodle… so if I just add this favorite of  mine…  maybe…  you will also remember… that which  I am remembering and  soon we will  all start singing it!!!

Just love watching this kind of entertainment for the Fourth of July… some of the best AMERICAN music!

Just the best… for all!

“NATIONAL FATHER DAUGHTER TAKE A WALK DAY”

NATIONAL FATHER DAUGHTER TAKE A WALK DAY – July 7

NATIONAL FATHER DAUGHTER TAKE A WALK DAY

National Father Daughter Take a Walk Day is observed annually on July 7th. This day promotes the benefits of family bonding time between fathers and daughters as well as the benefits of physical activity.

The memories made during your time together will stay with you forever. During the summer season, there are many incredible places to walk and enjoy nature as you spend time talking, laughing, and bonding. While taking a stroll, cherish the time spent together. Your child will value the gift of the time you give no matter how old they are.

As you’re walking, you will also be setting an excellent example of a healthy lifestyle – another valuable gift. Walking is one of the best exercises and the easiest to incorporate into a child’s life at a young age. Set a pace that’s comfortable for both of you. And remember, walking is something the whole family can do together, so don’t be surprised when the rest of the family asks to go for walks, too.

Father-daughter walks can be as long or short as you like. Walks around your neighborhood help increase interactions with neighbors. Another great place for walks is along local walking or hiking trails. These well-marked trails offer a little bit of nature while keeping from getting lost. During inclement weather, indoor walking tracks take the place of the sunshine and parks. However, if there’re no thunder or lightning, take an umbrella. While walking in the rain with your daughter, take in the cleaner air and splash in some puddles.

Besides walking, start a conversation with your daughter. Subjects vary depending upon your child’s age, of course. However, your child usually knows where to take the conversation. If you both are at a loss for words, visit www.verywellfamily.com for some conversation starters. These topics not only will help you get to know your daughter better, but they will help her get to know you, too. Your guidance and time help your daughter learn self-respect, determination, and perseverance. Fathers sometimes don’t realize how much a daughter looks up to them and cherishes their attention.

Celebrate the opportunities to stroll and converse with your daughter. Create a new routine and this same time next year, it will be the anniversary of your father-daughter walks!

HOW TO OBSERVE #FatherDaughterTakeAWalkDay

Fathers and daughters join each other for a walk. Make the most of the walks by asking questions and talking about out of the ordinary things. Daughters, contact your fathers and ask them to join you for a walk. This day is about making connections, too. Don’t hesitate to reconnect with your father if the opportunity is there.

If that is not possible, think of your father or daughter while you walk. Post on social media using #FatherDaughterTakeAWalkDay.

Just have to add my very own … a very nice old photo of ME and DADDY … a Walk in the Park… in DADDY’s arms!

This is the

back side of

photo on the

left of what I

could do and

say…

Back then…we lived between two large Parks… in the Saint Louis area…Fairgrounds Park and the O’Fallon Park… both within our walking to and or driving distance.

I am so glad that my Mother wrote on the backside of this photo… makes so much sense… this way we know what we looked  like and also the age and exactly what we could do… not a guessing game… with the older adults trying to remember… as we forget so much over the span of years.
