Nov 5th “When is a Cat a NEw Friend”

Abandoned Uninvited Visitor

Sitting at the Kitchen table – reading – glanced to the right – saw this short haired cat – doing a perimeter check – on my porch?

So, I had to say… “Meow – Meow” and immediately she came to the window … stretched as far up to the where I was sitting, and said… “Meow – Meow” back while looking at me.

With eye contact and our “Meowing” back and forth , I opened a box of cat food and set it outside the door, as… (we have all kinds of animals come from the park area) checking out us humans.

She looked it over – took a smell – but seem to be afraid – backed up and slowly went toward the steps and down and to the walk area. She was no longer answering my “Meows” – as she was not ready to make me a friend… being here for the first time and a “stranger.”

She headed toward the far end of the yard and out of sight!

There is a road right behind us that takes you into the Park, and I’ll bet her family dropped her off there… due to the bad times of our country.

There have been several animals running loose. No amount of my kindness nor being nice or even inviting… makes no difference… as being an abandoned cat is in an “eerie situation ” … that is, when it comes to approaching strange humans, because she feels … she will once again be thrown out a car door.

“Speaking for the cat” … she feels the new humans that she will now meet … are not to be trusted.

She had what she thought, was a real nice home and family…that she gave all of her “Love” too… and NOW feels that she will not ever find… that wonderful “Love” again, never ever again being in the arms of even a good and brand NEW… truly loyal loving friend!
