“Sometimes… some things, just seem to happen as you are talking about or discussing something and even when writing a post, for the day.”

Just yesterday as I had finished the post about Aunt Irene and posted these words…

“So … TODAY, with NO telephone lines going to the area code of “HEAVEN” above from here…just have to use thought signals and memories of those good times we all had when she was still here with us.”

When I went to check the story, that which I had just posted…on the “fourgrandmas.com” screen, on the right side, you will see pictures that I have used with different and on various stories, never knowing just which photo will pop up for just seconds, and then more photos continuing, but you can click on a photo and hold it there, and that is what I did.

The story that I had just posted was about me working at the Telephone Co. many years ago, and the above photo pops up, as that is the exact time frame… that I was talking about.

Yesterday was Aunt Irene’s Birthday, and I was talking about having a connection to “Heaven” to wish Aunt Irene a Happy Birthday!

For me to have an immediate answer, with that above photo… seems like a sign, that Aunt Irene received my message, that I was communicating with her with the newer and improve powers… providing that we believe that some things are possible, if only we believe strong enough.

It would have taken a long time for me to locate that photo, as I have several photos taken from that time frame, when I was able to receive permission to take Photos. Photo taking was not allowed anywhere near the switchboard, but then… there is always the exception to the rules.

Both of the women standing were good friends, the one to the left was Mrs. Quirk, Night Chief , sometimes on days and the lady closer, if I remember half way how her name is spelt, was Mrs. Henneberry, a Supervisor and was also my Instructor, and very good, and one other thing, they both lived in the North Saint Louis area, not too far from where I also lived.

The other tell-tale about this photo… do you see those fans overhead?

All buildings in the Saint Louis area were not built with “air-condition”… back in the 1800’s as it was not available back then.

I have heard of people, that would sometimes sleep on a cot in their backyard. That is what I heard, but at our house we opened the windows and did have a fan to circulate the air.

Just remembered that there were times, when it may have been just too “HOT” in our working offices, that they had large tubs with “ICE BLOCKS” and a fan over head, circulating the cool air around.

As you can see the “Operators” do sit very close to one another, and there may be seventy or more “Operators” along this row, so as I remember, there may have also been, one or more that did pass out due to the heat.

Everybody is so HAPPY … TODAY…to have their very own “hand-held” way of communicating with everyone , even all around the world… such wonderful improvements over the last fifty to sixty years!
