“Don’t Follow Me – It’s Too HOT!”

“It is just too – “HOT” for me” –

“I am on my way down to the “BARN” –

Sometimes it just pays to have a terrific home as we do …as we have a most wonderful place to crawl under… and it is there… just for us guard dogs to keep cool on days like today… where the very good folks at this location have provided for us, with just the best… “Water Trough.”

We are “LUCKY” to have good folks like we do… that care for us and their horses, with all of the wonderful grounds to play and roam as we all like to play and enjoy in all of the FUN times they give and provide everyday … it is wonderful for us, and we feel more comfortable here!”

These July days are awfully “HOT” – and when you have outside animals – as you see in the above picture… sometimes when you are outside with them – it just seems at times, that they are letting us know, by their actions – just exactly how they feel!

This picture is of “Bender” – he is one of the best dogs – to have if you will be getting one?

You have seen pictures of “Tom Aldrich with his dog Shane” – when he was in the Army – and training dogs was one of the things he did so very well – it was always so good to have a “DOG” that our “Tom” had trained!

“Beauregard” was another dog, that we had and we would just call him “BEAU” –

As I am thinking about our dogs… and of course … remembering … that there was one thing we just could not correct “BEAU” of?

Some time after having “BEAU” the neighbors decided to have a few “Chickens” on their three-acre property ?

When “BEAU” would be doing a perimeter check, just naturally he caught wind of those “Chickens” –

Our old “BEAU” had a “wild streak” – he likes chicken for dinner and whenever that time hits his fancy… or if he wants something good to eat… every once in awhile… a chicken would take the time to stray as some will do … as they must not see danger, until it is too late… as they get too close and near the fence – good old “BEAU” would snatch that chicken so fast – and that was the end of that chicken?

Some old dogs live and eat the very best in LIFE… as it occurs and some enjoy… just being alive and are always in just the right place and at the right time!
