“ONE DAY” – – “MAKES a BIG Difference”
“Looking back… can only say that…NOW – – because… “Graduation Day” was… ‘sixty-five years ago’ – – 65 years ago – – this world was headed into an entirely different realm for living – – ‘television’ was still so new – – very few families could see… where that would be better and or necessary to have installed into their homes … than the very good radio programs that were coming into each household.”
“So… WHERE – Oh WHERE…are all these young Graduates… today?”
“That is ME… the one on the bottom… right – – and under my name it reads… “Our Basketball STAR” – – only because… on my MOTHER’s side of the FAMILY – – she had one brother who was to try out for the “BROWNS BALL TEAM” – – had heard how fast he could run the bases and how well he hit the ball – – right out of the field – – just thought that some of those same excellent ball playing energies were also in “ME” – and playing “Base Ball” and “Basket Ball” came easy for me- and since we “ORPHANS” would be out of the Orphanage for awhile to play “GAMES” at out-side locations- – well that was for “ME”, too!”

The photo on the left… are some of the classmates above – – before Graduation – – and after the “GYM” was completed and we did have more access to using it. ” Are you the ‘reader’ – – taking notice of our ‘hairstyles’ – – and how they were changed – – six to seven months before “GRADUATION” – – I did want long hair for GRADUATION – – but the NUNS wanted it to be cut.”
So… in JANUARY… I was told… they would pay for me to get a permanent – I told them I wanted long hair… the NUNS said – – your hair grows so fast – – that it will be long again for “GRADUATION.” So – – an appointment was made for me at a “RAGSDALE BEAUTY SHOP” – – I left the Orphanage – – took the bus as to get to this place – – and as you can see – – on my “GRADUATION PHOTO” above – – my hair grew very little.
“I did survive with this situation – – but one of the first of important lessons to learn – – and early… ‘Do not believe others… no mater what they are trying to sell you’ – – DECLINE “FREE” Offers – – that are meant to influence you – – into something – – that you do not want – – no matter… how good … the ‘sugar coated pill is’ – – that is heavily coated with deceit!”
