Aug 1st “Birthday Greetings” – “Favorite Customers”

The PHOTO of “LEE and ME” standing in front of the “Dobbs House Snack Bar” – – (that was yesterday’s post)—- well that “PHOTO” was taken by the man sitting at he table below – – on the right… with the white napkin on his knee… “Mr. O.L. Dick” —

These friends and customers… of ours from the “Snack Barr” also like going to the “Race Track” – – you will see several PHOTOS of them – – that is when I would also go with them … and take a picture or two – – as I do not bet – – my bets are strictly donations – – as I believe in just buying that which – – I would need – – not trying to make lots of money being “LUCKY” – – as I am not on the “LUCKY” side of the street… when it comes to winning.

This was a very and extra special “treat out night” for everyone at this table… as I believe some of the friends sitting at this table did “WIN” and “BIG” at the “RACE TRACK” – – and all of us as guests of “Mr. O.L. Dick” sitting here had one terrific night – – very good food – – and with these “Waiters” – – the one was an “Irish Cop” in the “entertainment” part of the show – – this was one of the most enjoyable occasions that we all had… and all together.

It is really something special when customers find their way to your restaurant – – and they come all the while that they are staying in Florida for the “WINTER” season – – and even for the years following – – they still come back. When you make “FRIENDS” – – it is good to know that they never forget you – – and that you all will share some special times together – – at all of the exciting attractions – – available in Florida.

This is the COVER of the “PHOTO” folder – – just in case anyone – – would want to stop there and see what is on today’s… menu??? This “PHOTO” was taken on April 8, 1961 – – that is “ONE” date to write down in the memory book – – if ever there was a very special day – – to follow up… “this memory” with???

And… just so you the reader will know… “WHO” is sitting at this table – – this is the list of people as they wrote their names… on the inside of the cover – – – and of course this was only “56 years”… ago.

“Lee and ME” – – are sitting at the back – – and… on the right side of the table – – everyone has said and thinks that “LEE” … also looks like an “IRISH COP” – – too – – not knowing that he is a “retired” Saint Louis Detective!
