OLDER Birthdays Memories of LEE,JR.”

“Here  is one of those PHOTOS – – that when you are looking at it and remembering – – I am wishing that I had taken more PHOTOS of  new little baby, LEE,Jr. – – especially in the arms of his   “FAVORITE GRANDMA, GoGo”  because…  these first months  in the new born baby – – just seem to go by so fast – – and they are never there again to enjoy – – like you wish that  you did do.

One other thing in looking at this PHOTO – – never thought to ask my MOTHER what   she might have been thinking at the time of this PHOTO – – if there were some special memory to be written and recorded  – – to be put with  this PHOTO  – – for the day when LITTLE  LEE  – – is big enough to understand – –  when  he decides if he also likes these old PHOTOS – – and or if he would have some memories  of what he thought   about and who all the people were – – in the first  years of his LIFE?

“Here is another PHOTO – – like the PHOTO above – –  NOW that it is years later – – and who remembers back – – past ten days – – much  less  – –  what … can be remembered past fifty years – –  – – and very little in the PHOTO to jog the memory?”

This  is where we were living… in Fort Lauderdale, Florida – –  and Little Lee is wearing  the “Cub Scout” uniform of an older brother,  Donald Aldrich  – – as Little Lee did like to try on stuff left laying about.  My Aunt Irene, when she saw these PHOTOS back in the day – – said, ” it looks like LITTLE is leaving HOME”  – – and going to join the “BOY SCOUTS” – – because he wants to go to someone’s house to have FUN, too.  That every  week – –  when I have the “BOY SCOUT” meeting  at our house – – all the older boys come to our house – – and have lots of FUN – – because of all the activities that I plan for our meetings – – but Little Lee is not a member – – so he does not get to share in  all of the big boys’ FUN – – at his house.

But… just as soon as LEE was old enough – – he join in the activities and was a wonderful SCOUT – – earning lots of metals and achieving so much more – – and I am guessing because – as he was little and seeing all of this acclivity – – when younger – – it all came so easy and so much mote FUN – – as  he knew so much  more – –  listening – – seeing and then becoming a real part of  being a SCOUT, himself  as the years  went by.
