“Labor DAY WEEKEND – PICNIC…”
“Labor Day” – who said that there was no “WORK” – – and that this is a “DAY of REST” – – who gets the “REST” and who does all the “WORK” for the big HOLIDAY PICNIC???
Just take a look at the above photo – looks like “Kathy Stanley” is a regular short order cook – all the KIDS – are putting in their order – for soda and what ever is available in the line of food – – “Oh … and please hurry!”
This is one of our favorite times – the time for all the FAMILIES – to get together – bring the car loaded down with good stuff to cook and drink – and every family member – no one is to be left out – – because these are the best of times – and that means all good memories – – – and that is forever if there are pictures being takes – how else can one have total recall???
As the day moves along – – everyone doing their part – “boy o boy” – does it feel good to just sit back – plate of food and a real nice drink… put those feet up – – and now is the time to start with all the news and updating the “out o townees” – with all the big planes and all those “pipe dreams” that you have and may never ever get around to doing – – – but now that you have a captive audience – they are all listening – – and adding to your dreams – and before you know it – the kids are have asleep and that is when – everybody – starts packing up – and heading for HOME!
