Coming – Father’s Day! (6/16/13)
This is an early reminder – “Do Not Forget Dad” – no matter what!
Some times “Special Days” have a way of sneaking up on us – especially when you work and have so ‘very many things’ to do – that we forget our “Love Ones!” I would not say anything about “Father’s and Mother’s and Grandparent’s Days” – if we could only remember to remember them as they deserve to be remembered!
No matter what your relationship was or was not with your family – there is always a blood bond – or special connection – that, when these occasions come up – a parent loves to get a call or a visit with their children. And, never are gifts required! It is your “thoughtfulness” that means more than anything!
You must remember back to when your were a ‘Kid’ and whatever drawing or any paper you wrote something on, and you came running in the door, from school – with this prize — and your parents gave you such high praise! You thought – you struck a gold -mine or something too marvelous has happened – and all you had was so simple but ‘cherished” by all the family!
Not just the “senior citizen” but parents that are now alone and their children are no longer around and do not seem to be interested in what their parents or even their surviving single parent – who is no longer part of any family activities – has feelings – and they develop feelings inside – that tell them “it is better to be dead than alive, when your family no longer wants to see you or call you.”(Holidays are hard to take without family!)
Remember – “You” are the only gift that your “MOM of Dad ” want to see or hear from!”
