Dad’s Double

If you saw the movie, “Any Number Can Play”,  with  ‘Clark Gable’,  then you saw my , Dad’s Double’. There were scenes, where I thought I was watching my father perform. Every chance I get I’ll watch it, because it’s the only film were the mannerisms match perfectly. Something about the way they both lite their cigarettes, and the face and eyes squint with the cigarette smoke squirreling , affecting  a sexy, squinting  attractive look, you just don’t see on any body else.

They could be brothers, both from a small town in Ohio, with one , birthday on  February 1st, and the other February 2nd.  One parent died  early in their life, and generally hard times

My Dad, could do all kinds of card tricks,  and the  drinking and gambling, two peas in a pod. Someone wrote , my Dad’s story, and had  Clark Gable, his look-a-like sign up for the part.
