Jul 29th “Donald Lee Aldrich – FAMILY….”

“The Donald” – with sons and his little brother  – “BIG AL” – – how is that … that the little brother becomes taller… that is becomes the “tallest”  –   in the whole FAMILY??”

Jul 27th “Are “WE” Ready to LAND… ??”

“Sure hope you are ready to land…  We have a rental car waiting …and we will be going over to my brother,  Donald’s  house –  we will have a short visit  – depending on what they are doing, tonight…- get something to eat … with – – –  Donald and his FAMILY …   “Donald and his wife Valerie” have  two boys – so when ever… you want to go and  or  leave  – –  we can…  and …we will be taking lots of pictures… so you gals  – – can put on your “Pretty” face and look  real …glamorous!”

We will be driving up the Federal Highway –  – then A-1-A highway  along the beach – see the area where they made the movie –  “Where the Boys are”  – so you can figure out where you want to stay for a couple of days  –  – –  thought you might want to visit  – “Topper’s” –   one of  the three   restaurants…  that my parents had … when we lived down here? Also, if you want to see where we lived and the other two  “restaurants”  – we will go there  – too – – or where ever  and or what ever …  catches your eye?  “Okay??” – “Looks like the  “thumbs-up”  – – got it!”

Jul 13th “Go – WEST – Young MAN…”

When you leave Missouri and head  out…for California – well this is one of those places you just have to stop!  – – -This is “two”  photos – that I put together – – just to get a better idea of the MOUNTAINS – – –   when you get out of your car or vehicle…  and just stand there – and admire all the  scenery –   that our CREATOR – put before our eyes  – – to see and  to be enjoyed –  – – and that’s… forever!

Can you imagine  – back in the day  – when all of those families from the “EAST” decide to go “WEST”  – just so they can make their “Fortune” – guessing that the “GOLD” that they heard about – that those  –  “NUGGETS” of GOLD –  are all over – just laying around  in great mounds – just sitting there for you to come by and just fill your bags  so full – that those bags  – so full of “GOLD” are just too heavy for one person to pick-up!

What kind of an old “PIPE DREAM” can you think and dream as you are driving through all of those wide open places and then to drive up and down one MOUNTAIN after another – and it sure is good that it is TODAY – instead of those days – –  when the INDIANS were  following the “WAGON TRAINS”  –  and if you are not careful – –  you just may  have wished you were not in this –  “WAGON TRAIN” – –  since there are just too many “ARROWS” flying too close to your head … for comfort???

I’m guessing  – from some of the stuff –  that one hears – something like a “PIPE DREAM”   –  –  there was some music composed  in this Colorado area – a long time ago..a lonesome writer  – writing about  the “ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH!” Kind of rings some kind of a bell – somewhere???
