“Happy Father’s Day from DADDY’s Little GIRL”

“Another Happy Father’s Day, to “MY” DADDY”

     “From, Daddy’s little GIRL”

This is a terrific song,   for a “Daddy’s Girl” to hear – and to remember way back into  the 1940’s  – what it was like to be as a little GIRL! –   “That is Daddy’s Little Girl!”

…  and just  a memory –  of  “Daddy and me” –

“I just LOVE this profile shot of  “DADDY” – and that  “HAT” – it gets a big “WOW” –  – just does wonders for the profile.”

“Daddy had  just completed three (3) – two (2) year stints in the Army  stationed in the  “Philippines” – as he is  in terrific shape,  even after having been wounded.”

Seems that I remembered,  my Mother saying that  “DADDY” reminded her of a Movie Star that she liked – I am guessing that the Movie Star’s name was, “George Raft.”

***  “What do you think?”

And,  this   PHOTO  of “DADDY”  and “ME”   maybe at  two years of age – taken with “DADDY”  is  in the back yard of  my  “Aunt Irene Brady Riley”  in North Saint Louis on Ashland near the “Fair Grounds Park” – everybody and every thing,  that one would need,  all so close  and sometimes even in walking distance!

Nothing like the good old days,  to remember all of the good times    we  all had, as a FAMILY –  no matter where we were  – only  NOW wishing that,   that those days and years,  “wishfully  thinking”   they could have lasted,   just a little longer – and maybe  even a day lasting,  forever!      D.V

“Happy   “Father’s Day DADDY”  – from your little GIRL, ME!”     “Me Ellen” xoxoxo

“Father’s Day Remembers the “GRAND FATHERS”…too”

“Father’s Day – June 16th, 2019 – Be remembered”

“One More FATHER’s DAY this month of JUNE”

Nothing like celebrating  “FATHER’S DAY” one more SUNDAY in JUNE,  especially  and since it means that you are going to be with  your “Grand-Son, Lex” the “A #1 GRAND-SON”  and winner of the “BEST OF BABIES’  ever, extra special  Award!

When it comes to holding a baby, you want some strong arms  that can rock baby gently and with a song that makes baby feel like he is floating on a cloud, “Cloud 9” with no cares and no worries,  since “Big Daddy Gramps” is  on full time duty, as “BABY, Lex” get his  resting time!

“To My DADDY…from Alyssa”

When I ran across this “Father’s Day Card” and from “little Alyssa”  some years ago,  everyone knows that if something lands in my “hands”  it will be saved,  forever!

For  “Father’s DAY” this  JUNE 15th, 2019,  I am posting for “FATHERS” everywhere,  if you did not receive a card, consider this card ; as a just for YOU, too!

When I read these words on this card, when I found it among lots of old mail and cards, just thought that  these words were so nice for a  “FATHER”  to read  and know,  that his child  “LOVES him”  and also thinks that these words apply to him and his children, today!

…   Left inside of card message….

and  “Right”  on the inside of card, with real words of LOVE  – written  straight from the heart…

The best part of  a card,  for whatever the occasion, is the personal message that is added,   and in the sender’s own handwriting, that really tells the story of LOVE,  better than any  “store” printed words,  even if they come from the best of the  “card companies” …   It is the message from the  “HEART of the SENDER” that  makes the card, worth millions!

“And of course,  these messages and writings   are  from ME, and as I say,  in  “MY BOOK”   which means to the world,  if  YOU do not agree,  that  is your prerogative!”

“May the Almighty Yahweh,  Creator that gave to us,  “FATHERS and Mothers”  the good children that they receive, continue always,  to BLESS each of HIS creations,  on this special  “FATHERS’ DAY” with extra special BLESSINGS!”     D.V.

“Wishing our DADDY, the BEST Father’s DAT”

“Remembering…In the DAYS of OUR FATHER”

“Happy FATHER’s Day… to DADDY… from number one son…ALAN”

and…

Must always start with Number One SON, ALAN…

this was one of those special  days …even in the HOT weather …  we did dress up… for the occasion!

and…

As you can see … this is another occasion…

YOU just come as you please…  just be sure that what you wear is going to be very comfortable…

the  name  of the game is… FAMILY FUN …

while just enjoying where you are…  and what you are doing!

and…

This is FATHER and SON DAY…

we are now old enough to have some FUN  and, to do things together as only we can…

as we have a very and most  important business to work together at… but there are just a few  times…

we just feel like a little time off for… and in the evening…

will  inspire us to do… a better job tomorrow!

and…

What in the world could be better… than to be with the whole family just having some lite FUN and refreshments and making some  terrific memories… that will last forever!

and…

As you can see in this photo…  “WE”…  just like to get together as often as  possible… and get so close together …

that we all will just start to giggle  and then  what to do…

we  will even start laughing some  MORE…

because we just seem to have  more FUN…

just being very close together!

Here we are…all together at the place that we all like to be… and  that is … at the AIRPORT…

just seems that since DADDY took up flying when he was very young… that we all have “FLYING” in our blood…

and just LOVE to be up … high above the fluffy Clouds…enjoying that which our Creator wanted us to learn to do and enjoy!

Come FLY with us and enjoy… just share in our  FUN and all that we do…  and it will be even more enjoyable!

And …

to finish all of our memories…

we are no longer two little young girls… as you see here …

we are much older and can now cook and bake…

and just for FATHER’s Day…

we are planning a beautiful surprise day…

just for our DADDY!

“We LOVE our DADDY the mostest!”

XOXOXOXOXO

“Happy Father’s DAY to”

“Happy Father’s Day to My DAD…Husband and Grandfather”

“Just looking at this old Photo of ME and my DAD… “WOW”… Everybody that knows me … knows how long ago this was.

Being the first child in this family…  was a real practice of learning to do everything according to Hoyle!

There was only the correct way to do what needed to be done…or not done at all.

On the backside of the above PHOTO of ME…is this list of what I could do and say… and I do believe that it would be a good idea for all “PARENTS” to keep track of what their child is doing in their first months… so when that child is older… they can look at all of their old Photos and see what they did look like… and exactly… that which, they were able to do.

When  I read over the above items, as to what I could do and what… I was trying to do… have to just sit back and laugh…

At my age today… I am still trying to do things that I could once do so fast and without any help… and all my bones and strength were ever so strong… that, I now can not figure out what happened… everything is not the same… somehow or the other… as I must have overused and or worm out some important parts of my brains and muscles.. or whatever it is… that just does not want to cooperate with ME at this age!

This is a nice and real old Photo… I only wish that I did not try to write on a PHOTO… as I did make a mess of this PHOTO and several others.

This was in 1946 and I was glad…   that my DAD was there to take PHOTOS and that we were all so “HAPPY” to have a brand new baby sister…” Eve Karen” …

the only bad thing was that her twin sister “Kathleen” did not live long after birth.

Each baby weighed in at eight and a half pounds… and “Kathleen” had a crushed lung… and I do not think that they really tried to save her!

So… this is LEE Sr. and our two sons…Lee Jr. and baby Al…

and it sure does look like they are having a real good time…

with their DADDY….

only wish that Lee Sr., did not have to die, so early in LIFE…but…  when you have been shot a couple of times…

when you are a POLICE OFFICER…

there are only so many times that you can recuperate and be strong enough to continue to live.

It is the best thing that you can do…when you have small children…

Just take as many, as possible PHOTOS… as you can … with their FATHER… especially when you know that the health is not as strong as it should be…

As for the many times that you have to be in the Hospital… with your husband…  you never know when your last good family times together  PHOTO…will be.

Also… must remember my Grandfather… Thomas F. Brady… came to America from Ireland…did what all immigrants do.. study to become an American citizen.

And start working hard…get married and have lots of children.

All his children were well educated …all very smart and lived good long lives…happy in all that they did.. and glad to pass on all of their knowledge forward… to the next generation and then on to the next.

“Just so HAPPY to be able to wish all the men in my FAMILY …

A very HAPPY FATHERS” DAY!”

 D.V.    XOXOXO

“Nothing Forgotten with the Best of Memories”

All Good Memories

Do You… ever just take the time to consider  for a few minutes each day,  as to what would be of a great assistance to each and every person on this Earth?

Everyone is so busy, in every walk of LIFE… we all have a different plan and path to follow … just trying to do… one too many things in the shortest period of time … that, at the end of the day, we are so very tired and just plain ole exhausted!

So… I have been giving a thought to some good ole times in my past years, that have made me feel real good about the time and the happenings… since we each need to remember more of the GOOD TIMES… than those times,  when we felt, we just are not getting better, as we had planned!

It’s so… “Good to Remember”  – “Good Times” –

Just love telling others of some of my own  old time memories… always some  with friends  and my family  for areal life activity   and also a day in the life  –  connecting the generational link!

Maybe there is   “Someone of Today”   WHO…would like to be  –     “Remembered    in the  Future”  –  and  in a similar way?

A couple of weeks before my  ‘Graduation Day’  1952   –

Aunt Irene,  got permission from the Orphanage  to take me for a whole day of  shopping for  my … up and coming Graduation Day…  as that was to be a very special day … just for me.

My Aunt Irene had a list of all  of the accessories  that I was to wear  and starting with all of the underwear  garments … which all just had to be brand new,  as everyone knows that you can not wear a newly made dress… made just for you,  and then wear old underwear, under it and with  –  this very special dress a  white  “Organza dress”… a brand new  YOU…  was leaving the Orphanage and now going to start a whole new LIFE at HOME with your MOTHER!

This was a very special day as the shopping for all new and just so nice of items to pick from  and this also  included “Stockings”  and lastly… a very special  pair of  white heels… (a first for me).

Naturally  – we will head for the  downtown St. Louis area – in those days that’s where everything  ‘was’.

Swoop Shoe  Store,   – had a very nice white pump  – could have been made just for  ‘me’.

Aunt Irene,  was having as much fun as I was  –  had a lot of trying on  –  must be sure of  the fit  –  can’t change our minds  –

  I was so excited!

Before heading for home – we stopped at  ‘Miss Hulling’s’  for a quick snack  – talk about everything  on the list – did we forget anything.

Nothing Forgotten!      Not even the  ‘Best of Memories’!

When a very special occasion happens to be on your calendar, and you have someone… that  also just so happens to know, what goes with what, and will look so terrific just for this special   occasion…

“MEMORIES” are being made… that will be remembered and stay …  in your Memory box… for ever !

“Thank you   –   Aunt Irene!”
