“Can YOU DO …What YOU are told”

It is… right… NOW… that time of the year again, and all of that advertising… that we hear and see on “TV” … even on the radio… and all of those many signs … that are posted in and on the lawns of our neighbors, and just everywhere…
… they are in the hopes… that the “Voting Public” will for sure read… just with the hopes…that the majority of many more people can see and read…
“Voting for your favorite person” is so very important today… when there are so very many issues at stake, to be read and understood… so that… just the correct and the right things are taken care of…
… when there is so much to do… and the time is so close… to that “Election date” …
Voices, loud and clear… as to when we will all be heading to the “POLLS” to ” VOTE”” for that person… and or even that “PARTY” that… we feel affiliated with…
… that they are like-minded and they will also tell you so many good and necessary things … almost everything that you want to hear… and of course… we all know that… we were told some tall tales… a long time ago…
… that we should not believe… anything that we hear… and then… only half of what we actually see..
“So what is really going on in this world… that we live in… anyway?”
So… Now… we have to go back in time to that which I still remember… way back and … In those 1950’s…
My Mother was working with others … to get the… “Vote Out”!
Seems, that everybody would volunteer to do their part in helping, back then… and even… a very young “me” and “new” to the political game…
I did not know anything… about all of this “VOTING” stuff … and had a million questions?
My #1 question is WHY?
That’s because you are told; who, what, where, how – but never a… WHY!
So, if I… wanted to get in to the “Political Game” – how do I start?
And, this is the answer, I was given…
“Go downtown and register “Yourself”… to be put on the “Ballot” and… just select “For Dog Catcher”…
then… select your “Party” choice and pay your $100.00 entry fee.
So, then… how does that get “me” into the “Political Game”?
When the people vote – they usually “Vote” the straight “Party” ticket.
When that happens, no matter where you are on the ticket, “You are in like… Flynn!”
From then on – You go to lots of meetings, you are NOW… seen, you still may not know exactly what you are doing – but you are “Paid” for doing nothing.
And then… if you are a very good “Follower”… you will also continue to be told, and this will continue for years … running into as it seems… like forever… forever and day…
You will continue… just as long as you want to be a “PARTY” member…
… being told what to do, – when – where – and never ever a good reason… and for sure never ever… know the … “WHY”?
It is… just do as you are told!
“WHY?” That’s another question?

“This Will KNOCK Your Socks OFF NOW”
Everybody … and I am even guessing, that anybody in this world would just LOVE to get into some kind of a “Flying” machine and get themselves behind those controls, and just start flying… just as if they have been flying and flying for so many years… that they could even fly in their sleep… just for the FUN of it… and that would be… any ole time at all!
Boy o’boy … were these… ever the days….
The above PHOTO of ME… is when, I was the owner of the Blowing Green Airport… and other Pilots would load up a variety of single person flying creations … some that they hand created and or bought … from other maybe retired PILOTS and thinking of maybe selling to me … and even… if “maybe” I could help them to fix them up “for sale” at the “Airport”…. or even come up with some terrific ideas, of how their wonderful “Flying Machines” could be used, in maybe the next or even a future one … of my “Fly IN Shows” in the very near or even next “Fly in Show!”
“Like all good Pilots will say… “Come Fly with ME” up and above these so many nice and white puffing CLOUDS … just so very nice to see us … as we are flying… bye.. bye!
There is nothing more exciting than a nearby “Fly In Show” that is for all of the family, and that includes, being with their friends… they all can attend and have lots of fun… meeting all those that would like to be “PILOTS”…
but… never ever really got up the nerve, to the taking of some Flying Lessons and… or even really… having the nerve, that it sometimes does take, to do something… that you really do not know much about… and or … maybe just being a real live fraidy-cat… when it comes right down to doing… something different!
So… for something different, and that everyone would just love… and that is to be able to fly… your very own “Home-built” Aircraft!
That is just so absolutely correct … just watch me fly the above “Home built Aircraft” at the “Fly In Show” at Bowling Green Airport… and all and every chance that I get… no matter the time of day and or even in the evening … since flying here and there … that is… what I like to do!
Just guess that my flying… all started as… I was one of those chosen way before it was in my destiny to be here on earth…
… just felt that it was one of those nice things that happens… when you are born… and when you just seem to be in that place and… in some cases, as in my case…
… it all started at the very early age of me being just “eighteen months of age”
When reading some of the stories… that have already been written and posted… you will read and see some of the things that put me in that place, and that… time to be there for the “Flying” bug to just develop into something that I just did as naturally… as getting up each and everyday …
… when that alarm clock rings… and lets me KNOW…
… this is the time… for this action to take place …
… and I just do that which comes… naturally!

“Gramps, Once More with His Grand Children”
Every day that you wake up… YOU start to thinking… what is the PLAN for this day … for ME and THOSE… that, I LOVE the most!
This is Grandpa AL with his second Grandchild little Miss Ruby, all snuggled up in his strong arms of LOVE!
When you are putting in an order for Grandchildren… you will for sure… want to put in an order… for more wonderful loving and so sweet children, like our little Miss RUBY.
It has been quite some time, since I have seen a sweet and attentive little child, like our little Miss Ruby, as she is so ahead of her class in all that she is doing.
Ruby can talk saying words that you would never ever imagine a small child to be able to say and or even understand. Also, she can ask questions and is really paying attention, to the full and clear answer given.
Little Miss Ruby will try to do everything, that she sees her older brother Lex, do… and as she feels she can do, and she will even try to do so much more… than we have ever expected.
It is a real blessing that our Creator, will Bless us and our family and also our children, with lots of extra special things, that they can do and also understand… that they have those abilities, to be able to do… all that we are trying to teach them… in those very first years of their life.
This is our great Grandpa, AL…. and holding his most wonderful Grandson Lex… and they are at the AIRPORT… and this is a very favorite place for them to be… as Grandpa AL is a Pilot, and I do believe, that one day… our little Lex will be a Pilot, too!
When you go to the Airport… there are so many and very good reasons to be at the “AIRPORT” … and a number one good reason for us to be at this large and friendly Airport… is to take your very own young Grandson Lex, to visit and to also be shown some very good things to learn to do… that will make him feel happy and welcome and safe visiting the “AIRPORT” at all times!
“Little Lex” will be taken up on an Airplane, while he is visiting the Airport today… and so “Grandpa Al” is showing his “Grandson Lex” some of things that visitors can do while they are standing on the ground… and they see their friends and or some of their very own family… get into their own Airplanes and start to taxing on over… getting ready for their takeoffs!
While you are standing on the ground… nearby to where your “GRANDMA” is in her Airplane and is now going to take a minute or two… to see to it… that forsure, everything is in its place and that she has everything running correctly…
“Grandma” takes a look out of her window… looking to where she can now see you….”Little LEX” in the arms of your great “Grandpa” and now you see her…waving and waving… and so “Grandpa” is showing you… little LEX… how to wave back … holding your arm and hand moving fingers… like he is doing and giving a real nice wave back… with lots of “LOVE” from the both of you!

“Highly Creative Learning, is So VERY Good”
“Jaime’s First Published Book is Just Terrific”
“First Published book by Jaime Aldrich”
This is the cover of the book written and illustrated with her very own drawings…the title is “Changes Around Us” …
… and the author is Miss Jaime Aldrich, my Grand-Daughter.
Since … little Miss Jaime’s book is about the changing “SEASONS ” just thought that I would include a page from her book and this page talks about this very “TIME” of the year that we are in now…
“FALL” … and on the page opposite this writing is… one of her very own drawings just to show us… what the “FALL TIME” of a year would look like and what we might be doing… when and at this time of the year.
This is one of the best “projects” … I feel that the SCHOOL System can offer for the very young children… something CREATIVE and using their natural talents that a very young child has.
To have some way of expressing their use of language, writing, and storytelling all in a very natural and highly imaginative way for their age.
Also, for those young children who like to draw and color or even paint, which are all qualities to spark a full development… giving them something that they may want to explore further in LIFE, with higher education and more training.
When given a chance early to start writing stories and with your own natural creative gifts given to us by our Creator… gives us advancement in more training and working our natural abilities into a career and or at least…
… this first starter project is a FAMILY treasure and something to be proud of … for all the days of their LIFE!
“One must be grateful and thankful to those TEACHERS… that have the inspiration to know exactly what will motivate children to learn and master up good working abilities in small starter projects in SCHOOL…
… sparking something … that gives a Student a chance to develop LOVE… in projects…
… that will also inspire others to always want to make things that are good for all of us!”

“Your Grand Children Have so Much Talent”
“Grandson Makes Grandma’s Day”
“YOU heard that “JOKERS ARE WILD” – –
Well … what do you think of this “JOKER” – – –
that, I am standing right… next to?”
Several years ago, when at work, I was bragging to some of my fellow workers and also showing to them the “prize” that I had just won, and I am thanking the “LORD” above… for giving to me, such a wonderful and talented grandson!
My grandson, Alan Aldrich has such good ideas, when it comes to me asking him, to put on paper, something I have in my brain and I am describing these thoughts, and expecting for him to show to me… my thoughts in drawings?
He does just that!
Then… also, in my case we have to think up… just the right words to make these drawings come alive!
“A terrific slogan – words with pictures – is what I am after.”
All of this is for another “Contest” at my work place… as Alan has helped me to be… one of their many “Winners!”
The gal, in the cubicle next to mine, is Jane Amati, and she came over to my cubicle … just wanting to find out… if I could get my grandson, Alan to make a “Court Jester” … and also… just maybe make it… at least 6-foot tall, to hang on one of the pillars in our section?
And the best part of all of this is, that … she would buy and bring all the necessary materials to make this project… to me at work … even the very large sheets of the construction paper, if Alan … could and or would?
Also, the “Court Jester” had to have one of those three-pointed type headpieces.
This is something that Jane told me about in great detail… in as much… as that this alone… would make our “Court Jester” the top drawing attraction in our section at work!
Alan said he would try, and he made some rough drawings to see what I thought, and they looked very good to me… so we started to work on it, time flying and it was getting late… and I would have to leave early in the morning for work … I mostly looked at what Alan was doing… as I am not a very creative type person… and so, I just left Alan in charge of what he was doing… and so, I must now leave Alan, on his on, just hoping for the best of projects, to be ready in the morning… I hurried on up the stairs … and then … to just go, right to bed.
The next morning , there “It” was, the project all wrapped up… and all ready to go to work!
Jane could hardly believe her eyes… that Alan was so able to get “It” all done!
So we started to hang “It” on the entrance pillar… on the isle of our section at work and for the next couple of days, more workers in our section, were bringing their own and some other goodies to hang.
With the “Court Jester” in full color, and with movable parts, our isle at work looked like “Bourbon St., New Orleans – Mardi Gras ” style!
The “Court Jester” looked so extra special… we just had to leave “It” up, for months and months… as all of the other departments were now sending people over to have their picture taken with Alan’s, “Court Jester!”

“Get Ready for those Happy Holiday Shipments”
Today’s Good Word – Encourage
One… never knows where one will be to offer “Hope and Encouragement” and also be able to build up confidence in another human being.
If you are a “Watcher” of people – study the behavior of one another?
You would almost start to believe that we were “Aliens.”
If you take note of our general actions… bet, that you would agree … that our general approach is hostile!
This is something, that took place just the other evening, at the FedEx Store, I was there to ship a package, and the lady next to me, ask the attendant, if there was a “cheaper price” for her, in the shipping of this “Box of Goodies” for “Halloween” to her daughter and all of her college dorm friends?
Whenever, I am in a close earshot of hearing… something about some kind of discount request – I just love to put in my two-cents worth… in the pot?
So, I just said, asking… in a very nice and friendly way, if they would like for me to add something… to this conversation on discounts… since, I am so much older and have also… been around the block … as you hear that movie star on “TV” always say…
If you can… remember back to the old “Famous-Barr” stores, giving double stamps on Tuesday – as some kind of a discount, always helps the customer to buy just a little more?
I continued with my telling , that when my son was in the Navy, and for a Christmas treat… for him and all those that were serving aboard the “Ranger” … whoever he wanted to share with – I would have Famous-Barr send a case of “Fortune Cookie” boxes and a case of some other sweets, to enjoy!
With this store discount and no tax since this shipment went to the service men and women aboard the USS Ranger, I was able to ship even more often.
We struck up such a good conversation about doing more shipping to help build up the morale amongst our kids and those they were associated with, it seemed as if we were family.
Our conversation was enjoyed by some others, also waiting in lines, and we were not unhappy while waiting in a long line…
It does take quite some time for the shipping arrangements to be made… when you are making shipments just before the HOLIDAYS… and as long as we were in lines with our packages… it was good for us customers in line waiting for our turn for our packages to be accepted for shipment and to be sent!
So it did seem to me… that all of us customers… getting to talking about the shipping and our adding some very good ideas for others to use in the future… came across as some very helpful information… and you could see in their faces… that all of us were now happy – not gloomy looking – so… at least everybody’s wait was inspired with shipping ideas some others had in the past… and would be of much more help in their future shipments to so many others.
When the other lady was leaving, we ended our conversation – just like real family, that we will be seeing again?
